Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaBathroom is tiny in comparison to the bedroom, very little space to use. TV was too small for the size of the room but not a big deal.
Very friendly guests, willing to help you. Room was huge!

United StatesThe power to the room is supplied by a key card that you need to get into the room. When you leave, you must take this card and of course there is no power. I can imagine as a result, as days get hotter, that when you return, the room will be very warm and take some time to cool off.
The room was very modern looking at appears to have been recently done. The room met all expectations and had no issues of any significance. Received multiple options for restaurants from the proprietor however there are quite a few "local" restaurants within a 10 minute walk that were very good. Also, a great breakfast place called Lunch Box is right down the street.

United KingdomWe stayed here for the Rome marathon so the location was perfect, 10 min walk to the Colosseum and lots of good restaurant (card loading!) options nearby in Monti. Great flexibility with late checkout which allowed for a very welcome post-marathon shower, clean and comfortable bedrooms and good, basic kitchen facilities.

United KingdomThere were cooking facilities and equipment in a very nice communal area. Stocked with cakes, coffee and a selection of teas. A fridge for communal use but also a mini fridge in the room. The only thing I could think that might be better is a faster coffee pod machine. This one made great coffee with the pods provided, but it was very slow. Perhaps it needs a descale.

United StatesThe hotel's location was a little confusing. We didn't realize it was part of a larger building, so we didn't know where to go when we arrived. However, the communication via WhatsApp was great. It took us about 20 minutes to figure out where we needed to go. This isn't your typical hotel structure that you might be used to, so things felt a little strange. You needed keys to open the street door and the hotel door, the receptionist wasn't there all of the time (not like we needed anything, just an observation), and the rest area felt a little odd to sit in.
I loved how close we were to the Colosseum, cafes, and restaurants. The Colosseum was about a 15-minute walk. The room was large and equipped with everything you needed including a T.V. Overall, it was a good place to rest your head after a long day of exploring.

PolandUnfortunately unpolite service desk employee. The thing is that you must check in before 19:00. If you are later you pay additional 40€ but you mustn't come later than 22:00. 5 days before arrivial I had a bizarre chat with (I suppose) service desk employee as I wonder what if I am later than 22:00 (for example plane delay). On the next day I recived a confirmation from Owner/Manager ( I suppose) than even if I am later I can get in. On the day of arrival my flight was 20 minutes late, but the queue for train tickets and transport from Termini railway station to appartment took more time that I expected. Being on the train I received the call with recommendation not to use metro but bus (waiting time was also long) and since then I was pointed all the time for being late, for taking a train while I knew that I had an appointment. The questions like where are you where also in place. I do travel a lot. Situation like that was the first time in my life. I asked for the contact to owner, but I was said by the front desk employee that it was owner who told to write such a messages, what I really doubt. On the next day we were offered the free breakfast and the apologise were sent. I still however have a feeling that the pressure was unfair, completely not customer oriented approach took place and instead of having a good vibe, we were stressed if we are on time to get in. With such a service the owners may have a problems for the future. I do wondered if to write this, but I find it fair. I also tried to give the fair opinion (not the one resulted form negative emotions). P. S. I still wonder why they just do not add this 40€ for the later check in to the initial price. As the apartment had a great opinions I would accept it. Employee messages and attitude however cannot be justified.
Clean location, spacious apartment, you can hear the street noise, but overall a good sleep. 15 minutes walk to Colosseum and more than 20 minutes to Circo Massimo, but be careful if you cannot be on time (rules of arrival/details below). I still give the good opinion despite what happened during the "welcoming".
