The host Paolo was exeptional, the bed was very comfy and the location was perfect for restuarants, shopping and bars etc. We were joining our Cruise the following day and Paolo even took us to the port.

Scirocco Rooms was perfect for our overnight stay in Civitavecchia to catch our cruise. Very good location for restaurants and also close to the cruise port. The room was great. Clean, cool, and comfortable. The host Paulo was very charming and took tremendous care of us. He even gave us a ride to the cruise port in his personal car. We could not have had a better stay. 5 stars

Excellent location. We spent two nights prior to a cruise and was able to enjoy Civitavecchia, many shops, restaurants, etc, all in walking distance. Paolo, the host, was amazing. Communication was easy, he was quick to respond from the time of booking to the time we left, arranged transportation for us, willing to go beyond to make our stay enjoyable and easy. If we ever find ourselves in Civitavecchia again we will definitely book these rooms again. Even though Paolo offered to drive us the the port, it was a beautiful day so we chose to walk, 10mins to port. Paolo gave great advise, recommendations and helped to make our stay in Civitacecchia enjoyable.

The accessibility as we had to climb stairs with our suitcases. Paolo did assist with this for us which was a great help!

Paolo was so helpful with suggestions for a taxi from the airport. He was there upon arrival and provided a personalized introduction to the property and surrounding area. The room was spacious, warm and comfortable. It was a great experience!

Paolo is a wonderful host. He kindly picked us up when we arrived on a ferry - there were no taxis when we finished disembarking. He helped us settle in and manage our luggage. Then next morning, he drove us to the nearby railway station. These additional services were greatly appreciated. His apartment was well appointed, clean and close to a supermarket for breakfast supplies. The footon is maybe a shade low, but we managed fine. Thanks ever so much Paolo for your many kindnesses and additional services, which Mike and I greatly appreciated.

Exceptional responsive host. Offered to arrange airport shuttle if needed, gave advice on local restaurants, met us on arrival to escort us to rooms, was able to arrange an extra night when our plans changed and generally super host. Room was very clean and modern in charming historical building. We will certainly book again if we return.

This place was perfect

I was so impressed with Paolo and his kindness and helpfulness. I've recommended him to others on our cruise who would possibly go there in the future. Arriving from America, he arranged a transfer from the airport in Rome, which was wonderful, then was present when we arrived. He showed us where to go next to the water and a restaurant to eat at. The next morning, he gave us a lift to the cruise ship which was not part of the arrangement. I give him a 100 stars out of 10. I used to teach Hospitality Management and this is a gem. I'd stay there again!

The property is very central and convenient when boarding a cruise ship in Civitavecchia. It is only a short walk, about 7 minutes to the bus transfer point to the cruise ship. The owner was very responsive and met me promptly on arrival to take me to the property and explain everything to me. It is very close to restaurants and kiosks as well.

Fabulous host !!! Everything we needed for a one night stay before catching a ship. CLEAN !!! convenient to enough dining options in walking distance. Our Host was like the mayor of the area - and was excellent at making recommendations and booking our transport. Would defiantly return.

Paolo was a wonderful host. He made wonderful recommendations for dinners the 3 nights we stayed at Scirocco Rooms, including a wonderful wine tasting at MarGre. The location was perfect for exploring Civitavecchia on foot. I would recommend this hotel and this town for anyone looking for a great Italian experience!

The property was the cleanest place I’ve ever stayed. The host, Paolo was the nicest, most helpful host I’ve had anywhere. He helped us arrange transportation even on our cruise return trip when we were going back to the airport. He made recommendations for dinner. There were nice touches like currency converters. The beds were very comfortable.

Exceptional location in the heart of the boardwalk and port area. Paulo, my host, was incredible!!! Nothing was too much trouble. He helped with my bags inside the hotel, he walked me (and my bags) to the close-by ship check-in. He helped me arrange private transport from the airport, and was such a genuine person in every way. I was also able to check into my room a bit earlier as I had arrived at 9am after more than 24 hours on planes. In the meantime he safely stored my bags for me. The room was not large, but cosy and everything I needed for a pre-cruise sleepover. Its proximity to everything in the central shopping and beach district was fabulous - especially as a solo traveler. And the new soundproof windows - extremely effective. I couldn't hear the busy street below. In all, it was an awesome choice - a choice I made from reading the reviews via Trip Advisor. It did not disappoint in any way!!!!! Thank you Paulo. I will never forget your kindness and extraordinary service :)
