How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The room was comfortable and the staff member Bernadette was exceptionally helpful. The breakfast looked lovely and we were sad we couldn't stay to enjoy it. There is a nice terrace attached to our room. It was a great place to stay to enjoy a short stay in Noto.

The wifi was almost non existent!
Loved the location. An easy walk into the tourist area of town. It is a residential area.

The air conditions need an upgrade.
The rooms were nicely decorated, very spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable. Bernadetta was amazing! We had good communication with her before and during our stay. She waited for us, helped us with everything we needed and made our stay unforgettable with her lovely personality.

Breakfast 9-11was too late for me, as I prefer to get moving early on very hot days.
Modern, bright comfotable, very good adjustable aircon. Friendly staff with very good English helped a lot.

Close to rail 5 mins, close but not in Amazing old Noto, A beautiful not to be missed hilltop town. Anna was quick for access and room big clean and as in pictures. Simple breakfast on balcony with view of Noto. A quiet location.

It’s a short walk from the centre of Noto action. but, plus side is closeness to train station.
The staff were friendly and lovely, and allowed us to drop luggage off and complete check-in earlier in the day.

The furniture of the terrace should be replaced.
The room is well located, not far from train station, in short walking distance to bus station and also to the center of this very laid-back town. It is spacious, with a big bathroom and everything is very clean. It has a huge roof terrace. The host is very welcoming. Breakfast is good - mainly sweet (croissants, marmalade, cake or bread, yogurt, juice, coffee). I had a good time there!

Everything OK!
The room is right in the middle inbetween bus station / railway station and the city of Noto - everything in walking distance. Nice room with a large terrace. Good breakfast also at a terrace ;-)

The guest house was very comfortable and very close to both the center of Noto and to the train station. Anna was very nice and helpful, she made coffee and local breakfast. We definitely recommend it, 10/10 (Would recommend panificio Maida for a delicous lunch)

AC in our room was making loud sounds. Breakfast was mostly sweet things. Reaching center is difficult because you walk uphill under hot sun in summer. It is okay but it is definitely not a 9+ point place. I booked it because it was 9+ on booking. I would say it is 7.

We are two women in our 70’s and we are careful to ensure that we select properties that either have a lift or are on ground level. Here, it turns out there are four sets of steep stairs inside the premises to get to Simonetta’s. There are further stairs outside to reach the front door. It is not located conveniently to the town of Noto and to get there it is all uphill from the train. There is no lift and no staff who will help carry any bags. We would never have chosen to stay there if we had known about all the stairs. We ended up cancelling our stay as no one would help us get our bags up and they agreed we should cancel and find somewhere else, which we did. They then charged us the full price we had prepaid as a “no show”.
