How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at St.Peter’s Relax! We had just finished walking the Via Francigena. We needed a place to rest! It was perfect. The host was an amazing communicator. The self check-in was easy and the room and common kitchen well equipped! A 10/10 booking experience. Thank you for all the kind gestures!

Our host Marta was helpful and easy to communicate with. Room was clean and tidy, with sweet bonuses for breakfast 💛 Perfect location – very close to the metro station and ~15 minutes walk to Vatican.

The only thing I didnt like was the lift , which was very small . However , that shouldnt be a problem as the location is on 1st floor .
The owner was awesome , they were very responsive and took care of us very well . The location was perfect to visit vatican church and museum .

To be honest, we spent most of our time out and about. When we did get back to our apartment, it was nice to be able to relax and not worry about anything.
Excellent location to walk to all the amazing places to see in Rome. St. Peter's Relax is a great place to stay and we had a lovely generous size room.

Checking in was a bit of an effort. It should have at least allowed for luggage storage if checking in is strictly at 3pm.
The location was very near Vatican City which was perfect for our planned itinerary.

I would choose this place again if I'm in Rome next time
- location near Vatican, metro, opposite to local market, near supermarkets and restaurants (highly recommended to eat in the neighborhood) -we walked in the city mostly, but busses and metro are less than 5min walk -Great neighborhood, quiet and calm, but not empty - comfortable room with nice and clean bathroom and access to the kitchenette, fridge and safe in the room if needed - Nice touch of coffee, tea and snacks (free) - room service, thus having nice and clean space all the time -very nice local tips, extremely useful! -easy to find the place, accessible, well maintained building, with elevator

Apartment a little bit small.
Freedom of leaving and returning in the apartment on every possible hour. Spotless clean, bathroom products come in handy (especially the single use toothbrushes, we had forgot to buy toothpaste).

The bathroom is small.
Very good location, close to Vatican Museum and St Peter Basilica. In a half an hour walk you can reach the major touristic spots. The bed was good. Good places to eat in the nearby. Easy check-in.

Very easy check in and check out, the host was very nice. The room is excellent and bed is very comfortable. Location was great, 5 min from Vatican museums. We had very nice time here, all recommendations.

Clean, clean, clean. Not just clean, Monica clean. Very closed to subway, Vatican, restaurants. We found in the room toothbrushes, coffe and even some snacks. We stayed just 2 nights but they cleaned the room anyway.

It was a good stay.
The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was small but fully functioning with a supply of shampoo and soaps which was useful. It was great to have access to a well equipped kitchen where we could have breakfast and supper. The host was attentive via text messages and always willing to advise.

Very nice room, we had everything we needed, even toothbrush was left. Location was perfect-1min to local market where you can buy local meat,cheese and ect. Vatcan is super close, even Rome center is not that far away. We really enjoyed everything. Special thanks to our host Simona, she was always available,very responsive and did extra steps for us to make us feel the best during our trip. So Grazie Mille, Simona!
