Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SwedenOne downside, however, seems to be an ongoing dispute between the host and some of the other residents in the building. During our stay, we were scolded by a few residents who claimed we had left the gate open during the night, even though we hadn’t been outside and were asleep at the time. They also complained when we briefly parked outside the building to load our suitcases into the car. The WiFi is not working well for work related business as it is slow and seems to drop occasionally.
The property was easy to find and is located in a quiet neighborhood in Mestre. We received clear check-in instructions, which made arrival smooth. Parking is available about 350 meters from the property and costs approximately €1.20 per hour. The apartment is comfortable and can easily accommodate four people. It’s a good option if you’re looking to stay a couple of nights near Venice.

HungarySometimes it was like an escape room, as you always had to find the correct key for each door. Also the locks were really hard to open, we spent long minutes in front of some doors.
Great location, neighborhood was quiet. Host was helpful. Also the apartment was clean.

FinlandIt’s a bit complicated to open all the locks and go in and out of the apartment. Many a times I had to struggle to open the locks of outer gate and glass door with keys. We had to leave early to catch our 5:45 flight and we were stuck outside at the outer gate as the gate was not opening with the button as suggested by the owner. We had to climb the gate to reach the Airport on time and nearly missed our flight. It was very stressful for us.
Convenient to go to Venice and to Airport. There is an Indian restaurant nearby and we could buy the public transport pass from the hotel on the corner which was really convenient to go to City center by Bus and Tram. Rooms are big.

United StatesThe outside door is hard to open given that the gates lock might need fixing.
The host was really helpful. The place was clean and the location was next to the a metro station that takes you directly to Venice.

SingaporeIssues when check in as the keylock was next to the apartment which meant having to be buzzed in the main gate and another front gate. We got stuck between the main gate and front gate. Read the other reviews about getting stuck when checking out, so made sure we had the keys and all our stuff outside the gates before returning the keys to the key lock. Can imagine someone getting stuck otherwise or if they were staying solo. A user manual might have helped for people new to the country (didn't know how to use the lift and didn't know that we needed to turn the handle to open and close the doors!) and labelling the many keys would be helpful. Internet was also down for one of the nights, restarting the router didn't work. No fan so that would have been challenging in Summer months
Good location direct from the airport and walking distance to the central train station (30minutes), and a direct tram to Venice. Shops nearby for breakfast.

Turkeyterrible place, we never slept , Also, there is a lying landlord, when I reported that I was not sleeping, he informed Bookink that we were not staying here.
a complete disappointment, we didn't sleep at all that night, we tried to sleep with a crappy air conditioner and a fan hanging from the window, the house is not as it appears in the pictures, don't choose it

RomaniaI’d recommend putting some extra blankets in the drawer (there were 2, but if you travel here during autumn/winter, a real blanket on the bed would be great). Also the bathroom pipes seemed to be clogged, but the owner reassured us it isn’t something to worry about and there were no severe leaks during our stay there, so all in all it didn’t affect our time there.
Great value for the money. Great restaurants in proximity. Close to the train station and the bus station where the Venice bus stops. We appreciated that there was a coffee machine, even though you don’t have a kitchen, so we could still have a coffee first thing in the morning. There’s also a mini fridge in the apartment, but be careful with bottles/soda cans, as we noticed it freezes everything and you can’t set the temperature inside it.

NorwayYou have to carry a luggage through stairs to the 1st floor as elevator starts from there. It might be difficult for those who’s having big luggage. Air cooler is in one room so you might get problem if you are traveling with friends. Room gets super hot like a furnace. It’s better to book balcony rather than room
