How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThe hotel was overall really nice. The receptionist and staff were super friendly, chatty, and helpful with recommending things, helping with bookings etc. Our room was clean and relatively spacious. It was comfortable and although being on the main street, it was not loud. Breakfast was really nice. It was nice that we were able to use a fridge downstairs to keep some of our things and that we were able to borrow parasols for free!
Unfortunately there is no fridge in the room.

Verified reviewLuca was fantastic and really helpful, he gave us really good recommendations for beaches and booked us in for dinner both nights of our stay. Very helpful and friendly. The location is perfect for beach hopping. The town is small and very quiet, but a good base for exploring the coastline of Sardinia.

Verified reviewWhat I liked the most was that you could have a quite good breakfast in the nice patio garden. The people running the hotel were very kind and helpful. It was also pretty clean and fresh.
They don't have like hotel-standard noise isolation of the rooms, so you can hear everything from the street and corridor. The room was also pretty small.

Verified reviewBreakfast was great. A large selection of cheeses, fruits, cakes and others.
We spent 7 nights in Sardinia and slept in a different hotel every day. Unfortunately, I have to rate Hotel Teku as the worst of them. There was a Classic room and a Superior room on offer, we chose the more expensive Superior option because we were tired of traveling and really wanted something better. The photos on the booking page look amazing. The reality is not so great. The room had nice but cheap equipment, it was not very clean. The shower and bathroom walls were not clean. The shower curtain was pink - tasteless and dirty at the bottom. The table under the television wiggled. Worst of all was the bed, every movement creaked. One move = one noise. Not recommended for couples in love :) There was a big terrace but there was nowhere to hang wet bathing suits and towels, the ladder was rusty and I got clothes dirty when we tried to hang them on it. I love dogs, we have a dog at home, but here the neighbor's dogs were constantly barking and fighting, the neighbor had the TV on loud on his balcony. I was woken up by flashes in the room at night, around 3 a.m. I unplugged the phone and it stopped, otherwise it was flashing all night. Hotel itself was really nice, but for this price we were disappointed with the Superior room.

The hotel was extremely clean, and I really enjoyed the breakfast, especially the homemade cakes. Communication was clear and straightforward, and the recommendations for local spots were much appreciated. Overall, a very pleasant experience, and I’d be happy to stay here again!

Verified reviewThe staff is incredibly polite, and I specifically want to mention Lucas. He is an excellent person, very helpful, and whenever we needed anything, he was there to assist right away. The rooms were clean, beautiful, and warm, and the breakfast was delicious! They also provided beach towels, umbrellas, etc. for the beach! This is the first hotel to offer such services, and I was thrilled. There is absolutely nothing negative to say about this place. Thank you so much for everything!

Verified reviewLoved the urban style of this hotel. Unique. The staff were very helpful and the bedroom was huge. Comfortable bed and a large balcony. Breakfast was delicious, in particular a cherry flan which was amazing.
It was just an overnight stay for us between Cagliari and Olbia, so just what we needed. As a holiday destination there's not much around.

Verified reviewThe hotel is really nice, modern, clean and a real pleasure to stay in. It is situated in Bari sardo, which is a small, pleasant little town, just a short car journey from the beach. The manager Luca was brilliant! As soon as we arrived, he wrote down a list of beaches and restaurants for us to visit. All the staff were friendly and were on to help out with anything we needed. Breakfast in the morning was top tier. The list of things available is too many to list. But a special mention goes to the cheese and courgette tart, and the home made cakes. I believe they are made by the managers brother. I can't fault our anything about our stay there. Thank you, Luca, and team. 10/10*
Having ro leave.

We got an room upgrade too! The breakfast was very good, as a hotel guest you can borrow an umbrella for beach or sport equipment.
