Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsThe Wi-Fi network was available only at the reception, and once we were in our rooms there was no Wi-Fi connection. The comforter (duvet) was stored in the cabinet/closet, but not very clean. I didn't really feel like using it actually, even though I was feeling rather cold because of the airco.
The location was okay and the staff were alright.

DenmarkThe room looked a bit old. The shower was leaking so water was on the floor, the toilet lid needs to be held down otherwise it closes. The towels smelled like fish, I thought they weren't washed and asked to change but it was the same with new ones. The ceiling light is poor, and the bedside is like a spotlight shining right into your face.
The hotel is located relatively close to the central station but if you walk in the evening - it's a specific area, a lot of graffiti, a bit deserted. The staff was very friendly and kind. The entrance of the hotel is very nice. Breakfast is fine but could be more warm food.

United KingdomA respectable hotel perfectly suited to discover Rome on foot, or spend some other short trip. Room was on the smaller side, but clean and functional. Breakfast options were limited, but all was fresh and delicious. Staff was super nice! Would book again, do recommend.

United StatesRaul the receptionist said the most offensive things (“I am entitled to regard you as unfit and throw you to the streets”). All the other staff are super nice. I was forced to take a room (in another block from the reception desk) that I didn’t book - the room is double booked. The room smells bad. LOCATION IS ALSO BAD, it might look close on map, but it’s 20 min walk to the entrance of station. WIFI DOES NOT WORK outside of lobby.

IsraelI recently stayed at Hotel Tempio Di Pallade for 5 nights in May 2025, and I have to say, the experience was fantastic! The staff truly stood out; they were accommodating and allowed me an earlier check-in, which was a great way to start my stay. The room exceeded my expectations! I was pleasantly surprised by its size—it was perfect for a solo traveler like me. The only downside was the bathroom, which was a bit on the smaller side, and I struggled to find enough space for my beauty products. 😆 As for breakfast, it was enjoyable and, I would say, standard for Italy. The coffee and pastries were delightful, and I looked forward to the delicious croissants every day! Overall, I would highly recommend Hotel Tempio Di Pallade for solo travelers looking for a welcoming atmosphere and great service!

United StatesThe good far outweighed anything else. However, If your BMI is above a 28, Hotel Tempio Di Pallade may not be a good choice.
A good choice for the Termini area if hotel offers a competitive price. It is close to Termini, 24 hour front desk, early check in of 1 pm, a luggage keep, a plentiful nice varied breakfast, in an OK neighborhood which gets nicer going east, trams service the area, very clean, crisp bed linens, pleasant/efficient staff No, complaints but conditions one should try to manage. 1.I Needed ear plugs for two of my three nights. 2. My body mass index is 26 and just fit through the 14 inch space between the shower doors. A body mass index of maybe 28 or greater might not get through. The bathroom is small.

PortugalThe room was underwhelming. It was quite small, without closets for our clothes or to put away our suitcases. The bathroom door was loud enough that I was worried it would wake up my partner. If you're a light sleeper be aware that you'll hear cars passing outside and an exhaust/vent sound all day long. There were only two wall sockets, which made it tricky to charge all the devices we needed (regular tourist fair such as smartphones, powerbank, camera). I could not get my ipad to connect to the wifi but the other devices had no problem. It is not located in a great part of town. Walking there at night we came across dark streets, homeless people and rats.
The hotel is in a very central location and has 24 hour check in, which was useful because our flight was delayed and we got there at about midnight. The reception has free coffee and tea for most of the day. After that you need to pay, but 70 cents for a coffee is no problem. The breakfast was nice and always came in hand.

IrelandRoom was tiny- we were 2 singles and beds were pushed together. No room to put our bags etc. Bathroom was uncomfortably small- I'm not an overly large or tall person but the shower was too small for me to even move in.
Good location, 24h reception, nice breakfast included. Place was clean and tidy.
