How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. The Wi-Fi network was available only at the reception, and once we were in our rooms there was no Wi-Fi connection. The comforter (duvet) was stored in the cabinet/closet, but not very clean. I didn't really feel like using it actually, even though I was feeling rather cold because of the airco.

The hotel room was very unclean. The bathroom floor was black and dirty. There were also hairs on the bedsheets. The towels provided on the first day were not properly washed. While the towels on the second day were relatively better, the bathroom floor remained uncleaned, making it uncomfortable to walk around as our feet would stick to it. The UFX Wi-Fi given at reception did not work in the room. It was only after I inquired about it the next day that they informed me a different Wi-Fi network was available in the room. Finally, the shower did not have a detachable hose, making it difficult to wash properly. Overall, the hotel was not worth the money.

Verified reviewDid not stay the 2 nights that we had booked for as we got our rental car broken into. So did not feel safe to stay the other night we booked. we had an issue with booking.com's website and ended up doing a double booking for same night. the hotel was not prepared to refund the double booking and ignored our emails requesting a refund. Would not recommend this hotel. travellers be aware it is not a safe place to stay. The standard is extremely poor. As a First Time Traveler I was extremely disappointed they weren't even prepared to help us ring the police or communicate with the police so we were unable to get our belongings replaced with our travel insurance. They couldn't even give us a dust pan and brush to clean the glass off the seats.

You could hear people wispering in the other room. Shower was clogged. Late check in. 1km from the station is a long distance in summer when it is hot outside.

Verified reviewThe hotel is located relatively close to the central station but if you walk in the evening - it's a specific area, a lot of graffiti, a bit deserted. The staff was very friendly and kind. The entrance of the hotel is very nice. Breakfast is fine but could be more warm food.
The room looked a bit old. The shower was leaking so water was on the floor, the toilet lid needs to be held down otherwise it closes. The towels smelled like fish, I thought they weren't washed and asked to change but it was the same with new ones. The ceiling light is poor, and the bedside is like a spotlight shining right into your face.

Verified reviewRaul the receptionist said the most offensive things (“I am entitled to regard you as unfit and throw you to the streets”). All the other staff are super nice. I was forced to take a room (in another block from the reception desk) that I didn’t book - the room is double booked. The room smells bad. LOCATION IS ALSO BAD, it might look close on map, but it’s 20 min walk to the entrance of station. WIFI DOES NOT WORK outside of lobby.

Verified reviewI recently stayed at Hotel Tempio Di Pallade for 5 nights in May 2025, and I have to say, the experience was fantastic! The staff truly stood out; they were accommodating and allowed me an earlier check-in, which was a great way to start my stay. The room exceeded my expectations! I was pleasantly surprised by its size—it was perfect for a solo traveler like me. The only downside was the bathroom, which was a bit on the smaller side, and I struggled to find enough space for my beauty products. 😆 As for breakfast, it was enjoyable and, I would say, standard for Italy. The coffee and pastries were delightful, and I looked forward to the delicious croissants every day! Overall, I would highly recommend Hotel Tempio Di Pallade for solo travelers looking for a welcoming atmosphere and great service!

Verified reviewRoom and bathroom was clean. Very good breakfast. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Close to train station and bus stops, easy to visit attractions.
Keep a good look out for pick-pockets especially when busses and Metro are busy. Streets around train station very dirty, shady people around train station.
