We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

HungaryWell I don't have many complaints but some of them are serious. The a'la carte restaurant booking system is hideous. If you are not staying 7+ nights, don't even think about a free slot (or around 10 p.m. which is a joke as well). I understand that all the guests want to enjoy the outstanding kitchen of Eldorado, Portofino or Chang Thai, but if I pay for extra premium Signature Level I want the privilege to book before the "barefoot" all inclusivers. Definitely, we will discuss this with a higher level of hotel management, but this is not an issue that could be managed on the local level, I'mpretty sure, since this is a process error.. Secondly, the "minibar" sortiment. Come on... Few fizzy drinks and two cans the "famous" Peroni beer is not a minibar. It is a fridge with some softies and beer. Where are the spirits, wines, and other specials? I understand that the "barefooter" all inclusive working class heroes don't need an extra kick from booze in the room (saw it myself how rude and imbecile they could be), but for Signature Level I think the guests deserves some extra goodies. Last but not least, as an observation: the lack of manners or dignity is clearly an issue even in such an exclusive environment as the Signature Level. Some guest didn't even try to show their best or behave like normal human being, and show some respect for this marvelous resort and it's outstanding staff. A boho with a wet bikini for dinner? Come on Karen...
Everything was outstanding from top to bottom (with two exceptions). The staff was friendly discreet and cooperative, and the restaurants and bars had five star plus service. The room was amazing with an extra comfy bed and bedsheets. The whole siute had this "oh baby, this is some prime stuff" feeling, and frankly, I loved it. The standard issued shower gel, shampoo, and other stuff were good and got refilled. The Signature Level exclusive areas, priority seating, and treatment are great and a unique experience, big congrats to the one thought about this. The cocktails, drinks, and even the snacks were served properly and "as it should be." The buffet restaurant is great and huge, I mean HUGE with a lot of options. The stations are well maintained. The exclusive Signature Level breakfast option is a great thing, you don't even have to leave the TSL building to have a gorgeous and colourful breakfast in an exclusive environment. An absolute gem on the Thyrreneian seaside, it was a pleasure to be here.

GermanyThe dining choices were unfortunately very limited, they have three main ala carte restaurants at night but they rotate what is open- so the capacity of guests is too much for the dining options. Buffet dining gets a bit tiresome three meals a day and we were not able to try the Asian restaurant- that and they hosted a wedding party at one of the two available restaurants so no normal guest was able to dine. The spa was also very anti-climactic- there were not separate facilities for men and women and the treatments were very expensive and not professional.
It was quiet, beautiful and the staff was very helpful

GermanyI have just 2 small points to mention: hotel room size on site is counting quite sizable bathroom. When I was booking 23 sq m room, I was expecting different size of the accommodation. In reality the room was small, the bathroom was of great size. In general I have a point on this and try not to chose small rooms below 20m, therefore it was a disappointment. However, I have to say next day I didn't care about it already, as the room was wisely planned and was very cozy. 2nd: this is the first hotel in my experience of such a high class, where you need to pay 20 euro to go to sauna. Never ever faced this and don't think this is normal, if you buy premium level at 5 start hotel.
Absolutely great hotel! Didn't regret that I chose it at all and had a great premium experience. Very cozy and nice bungalow, close access to the sea, good pool with a lot of place around, absolutely fantastic food.

United Arab EmiratesRoom - we had fried food smells in our room every day when we came up to get ready for the evening. Limited English speaking TV channels but you can purchase movies (7€). Upon arrival we were recommended to book the a la carte restaurants. Of the week we were staying there were only 2 slots available for the 3 a la carte restaurants! We were told because we were signature level we would take priority if a booking became available. After 3 days we went back to see Maria to see what could be done. We feel if we hadn’t bothered to complain that nothing would have been done to fit us in. We overheard a couple on sun beds next to us running through the restaurants they had eaten at during their stay and were talking about going back to a particular restaurant for the second night on the trot (the one we had yet to be able to get a booking for). Perhaps you need to consider reviewing your policy in this area to ensure everyone has the opportunity to dine in the a la carte restaurants because they were never full when we eventually were able to eat there. Now we’ve mentioned the struggles of booking the a la carte restaurants, unfortunately we were very disappointed with the quality of food in them with exception of the desserts mentioned above. El Dorado - we paid extra for beef tenderloin and unfortunately both were over cooked. Chang Thai - the only authentic food we had here was the pad Thai. The green curry does not taste of anything Thai related. Extremely disappointed. Crackers were like polystyrene. We ordered a beef dish which was tasteless. Certainly not what you are expecting from a Thai restaurant.
Nicely spread out resort. Room and other areas were very clean. Room was bright, good air conditioning. Good selection of drinks at Signature level and excellent breakfast. Staff were friendly and Giovanni especially seemed genuinely pleased to ensure my husband had an old fashioned cocktail made to his liking. Special mention also to Salvo in Xtra Time, who worked diligently during our stay. We liked having a separate pool because the beach is not very nice, but every morning when we opened the curtains there were a large portion of the beds already with towels on and no guests present despite reading that this is not allowed! Food - The salad selection in the main buffet restaurant at lunch fortunately was very good because we were not overly impressed by the main courses. Also impressed with the set-up in the main buffet, communication between the staff looked to be very efficient with their walkie-talkies and ear pieces. The sticky toffee pudding in El Dorado is excellent as was the pistachio dessert in Porto Fino, 2 of the a la carte restaurants. There was entertainment on every night but only ventured to see what was on one evening and all seating was already taken so we only stayed for a while but seemed very popular with the other guests. We liked the app that has everything on it you need to manage your stay. In the signature level there were several places to choose from to get a drink throughout the day. Also would like to thank Maria for assisting us in booking the a la carte restaurants. And Nunzio who served us drinks in 3 outlets. Also Giancarlo, and a young dark haired (ponytail) female waitress (sorry didn’t note your name) who greeted us at breakfast every morning.

United KingdomUncomfortable bed, tiny room that didn’t look like the pictures, restaurants closed or reservations not available all week, buffet was very samey even though the evenings were themed it was only a couple of dishes - the pools were out dated with unclean mouldy tiles even in the spa. Very poor value for money! It took ages to get a drink at dinner, the soft drinks come in tiny cups. Signature level pool was over crowded the beach is tiny and dirty and full of sharp rocks and people are allowed to smoke all over the resort which is vile
