The property was situated in a fabulous location, hence the name. Host Maria was just gorgeous and could not do enough for our stay. Breakfast on the terrace was a delight which included home made cakes and a wonderful selection of cereal, bread, condiments and coffee. A beautiful start to both mornings. Take the time to sit and watch the stunning sunset from the terrace and enjoy this beautiful place. The local shops are also a delight. Can find a laundry to do your washing and whilst waiting have lunch in the piazza or walk to the pink church which overlooks the cliffs to Sorrento. Vico Equense is a great spot as a base to visit Sorrento and surrounding towns easily via train. For those who require AC, note that there is none in one of the rooms we stayed at. It was fine because it had a fan and the building is also stone one but just saying. Check the amenities section or confirm with the host.

The owner is super nice and accommodating, was helping us every step of the way. The view is beautiful.

Try to drive there in daytime to enjoy the lovely drive. At dark, it could be difficult with sharp bends and curves.

The house has a special character. We loved the terrace with a million dollar view of the ocean and the far islands. The hosting lady is such a nice person and very welcoming. We were very late to arrive and she stayed awake until then, also offered dinner. She was very accommodating for our toddler. She made a lot of traditional homemade pies for breakfast, so sweet of her. Do not miss the pizza from the tiny pizza shop nearby, about 2 mins walk. There is also a small grocery within walking distance.

The road noise in the morning could wake us up.

Conveniently located near the Amalfi coast. The location was very pleasant with a beautiful view across the town and water. The house was amazing. She was very attentive, welcoming and kind.

As the house is on a busy road trucks and vans start going up and down very early and the engines can be heard from the room. I don't think it will be a problem in winter when all the windows are closed,

For people who are more sensitive to sound during sleep, I would recommend taking earplugs with you, you will hear cars and motorbikes going by all night. Also, take slippers with you, because the floor in the room is cold.

The host is very friendly and helpful. The view from the terrace is amazing, delicious breakfast with home made cakes. Also, we had a mini fridge and a kettle, which is awesome. There is a parking spot. If you have a car, this is a great place to stay. A bus station is very close to the house but you can reach a town on foot in 15 minutes.

There is absolutely nothing we didn’t like about this stay - it was perfect!

The view house is a real gem located in the non touristy town of Vico Equense which has great restaurants and beaches and is a 10 minute train from Sorrento. The property itself is situated up hill and is a 10 minute walk into town with a bus stop approx 200 yards away - very handy! The best part of this stay was by far the host Marilina who made us feel so welcome and did the most beautiful breakfast for us each morning (her homemade cakes are to die for). The accommodation was exceptionally clean, spacious and modern and the views are breath taking. Thank you Marilina - we hope to be back soon!

Everything worked really well. Just as a small improvement I'd say that wifi could be a bit faster. But honestl;y, it's difficult to find a better valued place for the money. I'd come back without any doubt!

Loved the views from the terrace, the location (away from the noise and tourism), the host was also amazing...very polite and giving some good recommendations to us. She is also a really good chef, that's why the breakfast is so amazing!

We had wonderful stay at the View House. The view is beautiful, it is easy to commute to Sorento, Pompei and Vesuvius. Room was very good size with kitchen and bathroom. Room was absolutely clean and was cleaned daily. We had a wonderful fresh breakfast at the patio with Marilina’s superb cakes. Altogether we were very well looked after and loved our stay!

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at The View House! Marilina and her family made this such a special experience for us. We can’t say enough about the delicious breakfast each morning on the terrace, overlooking Vico Equense…absolutely stunning! We were also able to watch amazing sunsets from the terrace in the evening. Having parking available was very helpful, as we were able to walk into Vico and take the train to other towns as well. The room was spacious, clean and had a small kitchen with everything we needed.

Marilina is the most wonderful hostess! She was so helpful and kind and made the most delicious cakes we have ever eaten (honestly). My husband loved the cakes so much that he had two slices of all of them every morning and Marilina even gave him extra slices to eat later in the day - a real highlight and so generous! The property is in an excellent location and can be reached by foot from the train station (with a scenic uphill walk) and is located conveniently close to a bus stop. Marilina has taken great care to ensure that the guest house is clean, comfortable and well equipped and she is readily available to answer questions and assist. We loved our stay there and will absolutely be back!

We had very pleasant stay ever. The host Marilina was exceptional. She treated us like friends. She fulfilled our every wish, was very helpful. As a local, she gave us advice on the best things to see/do on the Amalfi coast and how to get there. Large clean comfortable room and equally large bathroom with a great shower, an amazing view on Vico from the terrace. Delicious breakfast freshly made every morning literally on request. Such accommodation and attention is difficult to find. We will definitely be back. Absolutely recommended!
