Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWe had the most amazing time at Torre a Cona! The villa was perfect for our big group, with all the amenities we could possibly need, and perfect views in all directions. We were so well looked after by the staff at the hotel, restaurant and wine shop, and everything we ate and drank during our stay was absolutely delicious! Already planning to come back as soon as possible!

United StatesThe location is a bit out of the way. It took us about an hour to get to Florence after doing a 30 min drive and 30 min train ride into the city. Maybe there was a smarter way to get into the city. I still loved that we stayed there even with the extra travel time.
We were two couples renting for three nights. The little converted former barn property was picturesque and perfect for our needs. The beds were slightly on the hard side for my preference, but we used the extra blanket as a mattress topper and slept great. The grounds were dreamy, and I wish we had more time on the property to walk. There was a sign for a trek that we didn't have time to do. Every employee we encountered was wonderfly kind and helpful. Being able to stay on a vineyard was a dream and they made us feel spoiled. The breakfast was very good and convenient, but it was pricey. If you are trying to save money either skip the restaurant breakfast or don't do it everyday. The kitchen is really well equipped so you could do your own easily. We did the breakfast thinking it would save us time, but the walk to breakfast was 10 min up a hill and then 10 min back down so it didn't save much time at all. I think they would have picked us up in the golf cart if we requested it though.

The staff were so friendly and helpful. The property has old luxury beauty with a relaxed and easy vibe. The meals were divine. The setting is stunning with lovely Tuscan views- oh, and the red poppies, vineyard and olive trees everywhere! Pictures do not do justice to this gem, located an easy drive from the Florence city center and many surrounding towns for day trips. Makes a great base for your Tuscan vacation. The apartment in the renovated farmhouse is great for families and you still get to enjoy the main Villa (where we stayed)! Just lovely!

AustraliaBeds were a little firm. A clothes dryer would have been helpful although we were lucky with the weather and able to dry our clothes outside.
Beautiful property. Attentive staff. Great accommodation. Wonderful food.

United KingdomWe didn't rent a car so couldn't drive into the neighbouring restaurants, and whilst the hotel osteria was excellent it isn't something you would necessarily do every night if you stayed for more than 2 nights. The osteria does do a lovely lunch menu but again quite limited for repeat visits. Im not sure if the hotel does room service but would perhaps recommend they provide a more general/accessible menu for the evenings.
All of the staff at the hotel went out of their way to make our stay with our 13 month old son as easy and enjoyable as possible. We couldn't go out for dinner as it clashed with the little ones bedtime so got one of the apartments in the property. The apartment was well equipped and perched on top of a small hill which was incredibly serene. The apartment was a 5 minute walk to the the main hotel which wasn't an issue as it was very enjoyable and they also made themselves available for a ride on a golf buggy at all times. We had booked dinner at the hotel restaurant on the first night but the little one was quite unsettled so we couldn't make it. The hotel staff went out of their way to bring us our meal to the apartment - not a service they usually do. We were given a baby bath (with toys :)), a high-chair and a cot during our stay - all perfect. The bed was perhaps the most comfortable bed I'd ever slept in (high praise!) The buffet breakfast was terrific - a lovely spread of delicious italian sweet and savoury foods enjoyed in the most idyllic courtyard. There are plenty of activities from horse-riding to wine tasting to occupy oneself. We also went into Florence a couple of times which was around 30mins drive away. Highly recommend the hotel for all travellers!

United StatesI loved everything! the only small issue but definitely not a factor that would keep me from coming back was that we booked on of the villas which require a walk up and down a hill to access the main property. dinners, lunches and breakfast walks could be a good thing for some but I would like the option of a ride :-)
amazing property! picturesque views of the hills and very well decorated and maintained property.
