How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewBeautiful view, lovely pool, great and diverse breakfast, local to surrounding towns and beaches. Cleaning services were available every morning and the rooms were spotless upon our arrival.
Wifi was generally good near the villas, but near the pool area it cuts out, not a problem if you have mobile data but if you plan on doing work I’d suggest using a personal hotspot.

Verified reviewA peaceful place to relax with a wonderful host family with big hearts, a gorgeous sunrise swim in the large pool, beautiful walks on the hill with great views, extraordinary breakfast, delicious restaurants nearby (by car) for lunch and dinner with lots of fresh seafood and last but not least air conditioner in the cozy room. Verified reviewBeautiful, peaceful place with an amazing view. Matteo and his mum are very friendly and helpful. You can chill and relax by the pool or go to one of the beaches which are 15-20mins away by car. Very clean and tidy. If you like sweet breakfast (like me 😂) you'll be in heaven. Homemade cake and yogurt every day, fruits from the garden, fresh juices, and coffee. A little bit less for savoury, but still good selection and you're in Italy so croissants/cake/sweets with coffee in the morning it's something what you do 😂 If you need any recommendations Matteo is always there to help you.

Verified reviewThis is truly a hidden gem! We loved every minute of our stay. Matteo is an amazing host — very helpful and friendly, and he made us feel so welcome from the start. The room was spotless (which we really appreciate), and the sunrises were absolutely divine. It was our first time in Sardinia, and this place made the whole experience unforgettable. We’re honestly a bit sad we only booked 4 days, but we’re already planning to come back — and this time we’ll bring some of our family with us. It’s the kind of place you really want to experience at least once in your life. A big thank you to Matteo and his mother for making everything so special. Oh — and I almost forgot the breakfast! The fruit tasted like perfume (in the best way!) — so fragrant and fresh. And the homemade yogurt by Matteo’s mom was exceptional. Overall, we can confidently say: we’ll be back. Fresh towels and room cleaning on the second day were also a lovely touch. Also the pool was very clean and open 24h which is a plus.

The owners are absolutely wonderful, and the location feels like something out of a fairytale — pictures simply cannot capture the true beauty of this place. Beaches, shops, and restaurants are just a 7-minute drive away. Words almost fail to describe how perfect everything was. If you're looking for peace, spotless accommodation, and hosts who will make you feel truly welcome, this is the place for you. Verified reviewMatteo is your perfect holiday host, attentive and personal. With Mom in the background this place is shining! The idillic view from the pool at the coastline with the butterfly's in the garden...ahww, something I will not forget easily. On this hillside paradise you retreat from the touristic beach vibe of Budoni. We had great food in the area and got great advice on where to rent a 'dinghy' to admire the land from the sea.

Verified reviewsplendid breakfast, more than enough choice (hot and cold, salty and sweet, fruit, fresh yoghurt, good coffee). great view from the very nice pool (12x6 plus the stairs). very clean room with large fridge. private bench on smal own terrace. several places to sit in the sun or in the shade.
no towel change in 5 days, probably because we took them with us during the day by the pool or beach. quite a climb with the car: a good car and good driver and stay in first gear and you'll be fine.
Thank you very much for your kind review but we are very sorry about towels… Obviously it doesn t work like this but onestly, how it is written in the room, it s forbidden to take it to the pool and especially to the beach and also, If the cleaning person doesn't find them dirty in the room, he/she thinks they're still clean inside the closet and obviously it doesn't open it …but if you only communicated it, we'd have provided others for free. Anyway, thank you very much again and next time, if you want to come back, it will be our pleasure to give you a good discount. My best Matteo 😊

Verified reviewI did like the geographical location but you need a good car and be a good driver for that up hight road, it’s a little bit dangerous I think… The swimming pool it’s really nice and clean and the view it’a just perfect.
#The bad smell in the bathroom #there’s no tv in the room, I would liked to have that… # the breakfast it’s good but they open at 8:30 in the morning, i think that not a good idea for the people who wants to eat early the day. # we stood 12 days so they are changing the towels every 3 days and cleaning every 2 days …
Honestly, I couldn’t respond to this review as the general vote is high, But I am forced to specify a few points: Meanwhile, I would start by saying that from your arrival you have shown a certain petulance and your continuous requests have always been met … but probably we couldn’t please you 🤷🏻 … you were even able to complain about the beaches and colors of the sea, beaches that have just been rewardes as most beautiful in Europe, and second in the whole world! That said I wonder why you wrote that you are French, since you are instead from Romania… obviously no matter where you come from, but I emphasize this because this is the first of the inaccuracies you wrote. Also: * The road has nothing dangerous, but writing it was obviously your boycott attempt thinking probably of scaring future guests * For the smell in the room, have you ever tried to flush the toilet? * TVs are not present by choice ( you can read it at the booking stage) since you do not have to disturb the rest of the guests who choose Trasicca to relax and regenerate, but I understand that for you it is a difficult concept to understand since you’ve always spoke loudly during your stay, disturbing everyone. * Breakfast starts ALWAYS at 8:00 and never at 8:30, and if you need to leave early, from the day before, we prepare a plentiful doggie bag, but you know this very well, since you requested it three times during your “sweet” stay here with us … in addition, the day of your arrival, even if it wasn’t planned (since you came before check-in time), we even kindly offered an extra breakfast 😊 * Last point: Thanks for mentioning OUR cleaning rules, treasure them and apply them to your home. Beautiful beaches are only a 15 minute drive away, and restaurants around 10 minutes. Matteo is a remarkable host ☺️

Verified reviewIf you are looking for a cozy place, having a dreamy view, great customer service, offering delicious home cooked breakfast, this is the ideal accommodation! It is owned by a lovely family, spreading good vibes all around the location.This one of many other aspects which makes the place so special! 💙 As an improvement, it would be great if you could install mosquito nets on the windows, in order to keep the tiny lizards out of the rooms 😁

The place is close to the beach and in the middle of nice villages, but you do need a rental car to get there. Unfortunately we had issues with our rentalcar but the host Matteo helped us out with taxi’s and even brought us one day with his own car. We will definitely come back!
