Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CroatiaIf you're looking for a great location to explore Tuscany by car, Marta is an excellent choice, and this apartment is the best value for your money. The hosts are friendly and welcoming, and while the house may be older, everything is clean and maintained. This apartment is the perfect home base for exploring the nearby towns and villages, and the stunning Tuscan countryside. I highly recommend this rental for anyone looking to experience the beauty and charm of Tuscany without breaking the bank.

NorwayNice big apartment strategically located for day trips. The host is very caring and helpful. If there is any problem, she does everything to resolve it. Free street parking during the off-season, usually spots are available for the night. The appartment is big and comfortable. Good wifi. Italian breakfast at the bar downstairs was very tasty, and gave an extra value. Marta is a beautiful village, perfectly placed on the shore of Lake Bolsena, I hope I will be back soon.

AustraliaWhat an exceptional place. Truly the best budget homestay I've stayed at in Italy so far. Everything provided, large space, well equipped, clean, comfortable, warm, hot water and very welcoming host. Close to the lake and shops and restaurants. Parking just behind the building. Outstanding value for money. If I ever go back to Marta, without a doubt I would want to stay there again.

IsraelWe booked a "superior" apartment, it's advertised as TWO-bedroom but really isn't. There is ONE bedroom and a huge LIVING ROOM connected to the kitchen (without a door) and in this living room are two beds - double and single. If you like to sleep in the same room with a dining table and noisy frigidaire - you are welcome. Also, inhabitants of the "real" bedroom cannot access the kitchen without disturbing the living room inhabitants. A part of the wall between the kitchen and bathroom is built from glass bricks - if someone turns the light in the bathroom on - that wakes up sleeping people in the living room. That's in case someone is sleeping at all because the windows of the living room are on the front of the building on the city's main street and it's very very noisy. Until 1-2 AM we could not sleep because of screams from a restaurant, and since 4:30 AM because of screams of workers on the street, trucks, etc. Might that be normal for the residents, but we had 3 nights almost without sleep. Parking. It's free, in case you will find it. 3 times I found it (with Christina's help) and one time had to park somewhere about 500 m from the building.
A mid-size apartment in the center of Marta, near the lake shore promenade. A lot of restaurants, bars, and stores around. Fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, large bathroom with a new washing machine (but we could not find the place to dry clothes) Strengh WiFi. Comfortable mattresses and pillows. There is a little pergola in the garden on entry to the building from the backside, it is possible to sit and smoke. The hostess, Christina, is nice and hospitality, she is living in the same building and has immediately provided us with some missing things we asked for.
