How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewIt is hard putting into words how much this place is special. The feeling is that you are staying in your long time friend’s house. Im an international cabin crew member and I travel the whole world staying in lots of different hotels for a living, but this place has something difficult to find, soul. Sabrina and Daniele provided me and my parents with the best stay ever. Every morning we were excited to open the door and get the cosiest breakfast delivered with the biggest smile from both of them. My father mentioned we were celebrating my mom’s birthday and they knocked our door singing happy birthday with an italian dessert and a candle, it was truly heartwarming and my mom felt so special - mostly because it was their first time outside Brasil and they were really scared. It is also in a super convenient location, we did everything by bus and there was lot of bus stations nearby with buses heading to Rome’s main touristic points. My parents dont speak much English but somehow communication was not an issue with Sabrina and Daniele, on the opposite of that, they made my parents go back to the hotel everyday excited to tell them about our plans, what we did and our next adventures. This place is more than a B&B because they create a personal relation and connection with their guests and you feel like long time friends. I highly recommend this amazing B&B, me and my parents cannot wait to go back and definitely stay with Sabrina and Daniele again. Im very thankful for the superb experience we had and I wish them lots of amazing guests on the way!

Verified reviewStayed here for 3 nights and could not fault anything about this little B&B. Set within a multi occupancy building, the staff/owners were so lovely and helpful. Room was simple but clean which is all we could’ve asked for! Breakfast delivered to the room each morning with a variation of pastries and yoghurt with fresh Italian coffee - set us up perfectly for the day! Location was great with lots to see within a short walk, or the metro was an option but we chose to walk. Would definitely recommend staying here to anybody - thank you very much for a fantastic stay :-)
Nothing!

Verified reviewThe room was just the right size for two people, equipped with a kettle, a small table, and a mini fridge. The bed was large and comfortable, making rest easy after long days of walking. Breakfast was well-balanced and filling, perfect to start the day. The building had a lift and staff at the entrance during the day, which made access smooth and felt secure. Excellent location near both bus stops and the Lepanto metro station, making it easy to move quickly around the city. Plenty of restaurants nearby, and within a few minutes’ walk we could reach the Vatican. The host was always kind and willing to help when we had questions.
Nothing significant to mention; the stay was comfortable and pleasant.

Verified reviewFirst lady who was very kind and tried to help us.
This is actually not a hotel but apartment for staying. We expected to stay in hotel and have good breakfast before going to long walking.

Verified reviewThe room was perfect for our family’s needs and very clean. The host was so kind and genuinely made sure we had everything we needed. The daily breakfast was delicious and such a nice start to each day. The property’s location was within walking distance to many attractions and shops, and just a five-minute walk to the metro. We would definitely stay here again.

Verified reviewThe location was superb. Walking distance to The Vatican City. The lift was very much appreciated! A lovely hub to explore from.
We had duvets, but they didn’t have covers. Toilet roll wasn’t replenished (we used the box of tissues!). Breakfast was the same each day. Nice, but too much bread & Nutella. The room was nice, but too small for a family of four (grown children).

Verified reviewGood location and the stay was generally comfortable, we felt welcomed by the host. The breakfast included is a nice add on.
The room and especially bathroom is in need of a deep and more thorough cleaning and some furniture should be replaced (bed for example).

Verified reviewIt was quiet, on the 4th floor, and had a lift. The shower was fine.
The table on which the breakfast was served was small. Breakfast was the same each day.

The only thing I didn't like was the WiFi was spotty! Otherwise 100 thumbs up! 👍

Verified reviewGreat location close to Lepanto metro station, nice clean room. Daniele was great and he made us feel welcome.
Croissants from Daniele's bakery were yum but maybe breakfast needs some more variety like cereals or fresh fruits.

Verified reviewWe loved our stay here, with Daniele and the team making us feel so very welcome. The breakfast was also outstanding, with our hosts making sure we didn't miss out on the days we had very early trips booked. The location was great too, easy walk to the Vatican and only a few minutes from the Metro for visits which were a little further away. There were also plenty of places to eat nearby in an evening, including a craft beer pub just down the road. Thank you for helping us make such great memories of Rome.

Verified reviewWe were asked the evening before what we would like for breakfast and we agreed for a typical Roman/Italian breakfast which included fresh coffee a selection of pastries or croissants jam etc . Danielle also gave great assistance with the area and we also took up his suggestion of a nearby Italian restaurant and I had the best risotto ever. The area was walking distance 10 min to the Sistine chapel , the Tiber river etc . We will stay here next time
A little ways away from Spanish steps and Trevi
