How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThe location is very good for cars. We skipped the narrow Roman streets that are in the center and we had no trouble finding park space. Parking in the blue zone outside is 7 euros per day. The apartment is very big with comfy beds and great wi-fi. Instructions for check in were easy to follow. The host is responsive and helpful.
The washing machine didn't work and it has the world's smallest shower cabin.
Dear Petko, thank you so much for your feedback, very important for us for improving our service. the area is very good connected and easy to park, you can choise public area or covered parking , close to us there are some free parking too, but it is less easy to find availbility, anyway you'll have different good options. about the washing machine, we called the technician, but we will considering to change it. about the shower is standard mesure, but we will ask to our maitenance if we can do something different to make more confortable our client stay. thank you Valeria

Verified reviewThe hosts provided excellent instructions including videos to explain the process to enter the building and get the keys.
The only think that was a bit of an issue was figuring out the washing machine. Because the information was in Italian and I wasn't sure which settings to use. I reached out an got a helpful response right away and loved the convienence of being able to clean clothes.
Dear Cecelia, thank you so much for your feedback. We will follow your advice and our staff will take care of printing the instructions in English too. greetings Valeria

Verified reviewA lot of space, comfortable bed, warm apartment (in November, has central heating), various kitchen appliances, super nice towels, easy to communicate with owner, lift in a building, a cot at no extra cost.
Generally don't recommend this apartment if you have a toddler - many things are within their reach (kettle and toaster on lower shelf), cleaning supplies under the sink, oven knobs that cannot be secured, etc. All of those in a kitchen with a broken door which wouldn't close. If you don't have a small kid and the above doesn't worry you - just be warned there is mold in the shower, and the shower is very small (roughly 70x70 cm). Other than that the apartment is dated, but good value.
Dear Omradee thank you so much for your feedback it is very important for us for improve ourselves The kitchen has a door with lock for security and close if you like. You can close with the key and we give only on request Anyway all the apartment will be renovated at the end if this month, please coming to us again and we will Be happy to show you the new style Greetings Valeria

Verified reviewGreat location in accessing all there is to see in Rome. There is an abundance of restaurants and cafes to explore and the carrefour supermarket is also very convenient in getting supplies for your stay.
I didn't receive communication about check in until very late, the apartment is very hard to find and with no check in information it took us a long time to get access to the apartment. Better signage on the roadside would help with locating the premises and earlier communication about the check in process.

Verified reviewCordless vacuum cleaner but it was left full of dirt. Swiffer and cleaning sprays. Dustpan and brush. Plenty of toilet paper, garbage bags. Valeria responded quickly to repair of washing machine. Proximity to the Vatican Supermarket near by, don't use the Carrefour ridiculously overpriced and not a large selection. Go up the street 50m to the Todis, bigger selection, better prices and quality of produce.

Verified reviewthere was no breakfast which we knew from the start. The location of the apartment was very good.
The shower wand was broken and the bathroom sink all stopped up. We arrived on Sunday and not corrected until Wednesday. So we had to deal with these for 3 of our 4 nights stay. This should have been working prior to our arrival.

Verified reviewVery good location! A good two bedroom apartment for our family of 6. The host is very responsive and helpful which made our stay easy.
Wished there were additional blankets and bowls as there were only plates. The mattress on the sofa bed is also uncomfortable.

Verified reviewThe location only
From the moment I stepped foot through the apartment door, it was one disappointment after another. I cannot emphasize enough how terrible my experience was. I was hit with a musty, unpleasant odor that lingered throughout my entire stay. The cleanliness was abysmal, with dusty surfaces, especially under the beds which caused difficulty in breathing. The bedding were uncomfortable. It was clear that no effort was put into maintaining a clean and comfortable environment for guests. To make matters worse, when I texted the owner to show them the pictures of dirtiness and dust, they came and said “ we are not a hotel to clean up all the time“ sorry but you didn’t clean at all and this is to fix up the problem. And also the cleaner take a kitchen knife!!! to release the water in the bathroom because the bathtub sink was clogged. I never went to a hospital to get oxygen and I did this time because My sister and I couldn’t breath from the dust. The apartment really ruined our stay in Rome. It was clear that guest satisfaction was the last thing on their minds. I would never recommend to anyone.
