Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

LithuaniaEverything was great, just as others have shared - apartment is on top and you need to climb narrow stairs so if you have big and heavy luggage it will be quite a challenge. If you have backpack or just small luggage which is not too heavy - you will be fine! 😉 In the apartment I would add maybe some plates as there were 2 cups though I was making salad and having plates will be really convenient as usual cutlery, but the plastic one worked too to cut the tomatoes 🍅 and made the salad in the salad bag ☺️👌✨ In this case, of course then detergent will be needed as an addition with a small sponge. Maybe liquid soap will be great to add, yet not necessary, just for the convenience. Trains going through are loud though that actually didn’t bother me at all somehow.
Amazing location, literally just stepped out from the train station and there is the appartment! ☺️ Very friendly and accommodating landlords, responsive and greet you in the train station. I came a bit with delay so took my keys in the train station info point which was convenient ☺️ Apartment has conditioning which is important in summer, also iron if you need to dress up going out and great shower, loved the pressure of the water. Once you step out of the apartment it is literally few minutes walk to the main city port and picturesque view. ☺️🌺✨ If you want you can also climb the trails around to see the beautiful city from above and in the evening it is for free to go for the sunset as in the day going Monterosso direction you need to pay 7,5€ to pass the trail.

United StatesThe AC units in the rooms weren’t very effective. The one for our room specifically kept shutting off. It made sleeping comfortably difficult.

MalaysiaThe location was great. In a place where steep climbs are the norm, it was great that the property was about 30 meters from the train station. From there, it was an easy walk to the water's edge. There is a cafe just next door, which means getting breakfast was easy too. The room was cosy and had the necessary storage for a couple of days' stay.

CanadaThe stairs! Also instead of a railing, there was a rope that took some getting used to. Shower was very tight, easy to bump the water temp control accidentally, and scald yourself, or the opposite. Very loud in the daytime due to trains and hoards of tourists, but earplugs at night and you’re good to go.
Good location, nice sized room although bed was tight in the space…tv, wifi, mini fridge, decent view of street activity below, and able to see train platform to know when it was busy… lady at the information desk that gave me my keys, helped me get into my room when I had difficulties, and helped bring my luggage up the three flights of stairs that I had not expected… Also, they sent a nice man to help me bring my luggage down the stairs when I checked out. Room cleaned very nicely but only every second day. Overall good, but warning of the stairs would have been helpful. For me they were a struggle.

AustraliaWe loved the location, 3 mins slow walk to the beach, 1 min to the station with easy access to the other villages on the Cinque Terre coast. The train station was a very busy place, with frequent services supplying and removing thousands of visitors every day. By 2300 all was quiet. It was telling that the host provides ear plugs for guests! The apartment is small, with no kitchenette facilities, just a kettle, a hairdryer and a small fridge, which was very cold. There is a very small COOP minimart three doors down, which is the only grocery store. It has the basics, bread, milk, wine, confectionery and some fruit. Prices are reasonable, given the location. Be aware there is no crockery, some plastic cutlery, no glasses and 2 coffee mugs. There is an iron but no ironing board, 2 bedside lamps with only 1 plug. There is no plug in the bathroom basin. Wifi and TV worked well. The bed was comfortable, some additional bedding would be useful, as the mornings were chilly. Despite the passing trains, which wasn’t a problem, the apartment is quiet and cosy. Also, visitors are to note there are 42 steep to very steep and very narrow steps leading to the apartment. Moving suit cases was not an easy task.

CanadaLiterally….. the train goes right by the place! But if you are out all day and are just there to sleep no problem; when the windows are closed you can ignore it. If you were wanting to spend time in the apartment to relax, read or cook……find another place.
Very close to the train and it was easy to find.

CanadaIt’s proximity to the train station made it a bit difficult to get a good nights rest - there were constant announcements throughout the night as well as the trains passing through.
The space was more then enough for a family of three. Loved the balcony.

United KingdomIt can be loud as you're right next to the train so you will hear alot throughout evening and early morning. The steps up to the room are quite narrow and the shower fan didn't work apart from that it is plain and simple and it's great for jumping between the different towns in the cinque terre.
Location was excellent, very close to train station and only short walk from marina and the rest of Vernazza, places to eat and shops.

AustraliaWe honestly can't think of anything.
The room is very close to the station but we found that to be a plus as it was right in the middle of the action. The trains also do not run throughout the night so we didn't find them a problem. The room was really well equipped with a kettle, chairs and a table, fridge, hanging space and a very comfortable bed. We were close to everything.

CanadaDidn’t like that there were no hand rails on most of the floors… had rope to hang on to.
Spacious, very clean, bed n pillows comfortable. Very easy to get to as it is literally beside the train station. The noise from trains did not bother us but some may find it too loud.

United StatesIt's up 4 flights of really steep and narrow stairs (I've stayed in this place so I already knew that) so be aware! The place is starting to be a bit worn in places compared to the last time I stayed. The shower door was completely off of the track and I was afraid it was going to fall off. I told one of the staff and he just shook his head and shrugged (not typical of the response and careI have received in the past). The shelf in the bathroom is also loose. In the past there has been small bottles or little packets of olive oil and balsamic vinegar. There was nothing this time. Also no corkscrew in the kitchen. It still a nice place but some things need to be taken care of to bring the service and level of comfort back to what it was.
My fourth time staying in this lovely place. It's above the train station with a terrace that overlooks the main street. It's really nice and works well for 3 people. Staff is friendly and carried our bags up the steep stairs for us. It

AustraliaWe were initially taken aback by the fact that it is right next to the train station, however the double glazed windows completely shut out the noise. We slept like babies.
Very easy access to the station and all of the stores and restaurants. Enjoyed the balcony on the top level
