The electrics are a challenge, getting the washing machine and oven to work. Catarina was very attentive and did her best to help

It was the whole villa. Comfy beds and great terrace and garden. Great kitchen and living space

Very interesting location. A very steep path to the lake , so we used our car to drive down.

The villa and its amenities are in need of maintenance. The bathroom was moldy and several things were broken or very used, such as the bathtub/shower, toilet seat, door handles for the bedroom and kitchen.

The villa is in a picturesque village above Varenna. The garden is very big and beautiful and the view is amazing. The location is great for small hikes around the area. Even though it was quite a warm period the inside stayed cool.

Lovely house in an amazing location, maybe best as a summer holiday?

The only thing which stopped us giving full points was that it was cold. There's a new law which forbids heating houses in the area from April onwards. Should you overlook that and still use the pellet oven in the kitchen, the house mostly gets warm but the oven smells. We had days where it was 12°C outside and the (mostly north-facing )house was not cosy. If you're not visiting in the summer, be prepared.

Amazing location, perched on the side of a steep valley between Vezio and Varenna. We needed around 15 mins from town to walk up to the villa. It is very private and offers generous space for two people. On a nice day we enjoyed just hanging out at the villa, because the balcony is very spacious, offers views of the lake and environs and gets sunshine (late May). It has nice grounds too, with an alternative dining area outside the kitchen. Cristina was a great help and responded quickly if we had any special questions.

We won't cook pasta and turn on the washing machine at the same time anymore; the main circuit breaker switches off.

It was cold at the end of April, which was unusual.

Location. If you're staying for a few days, I think it's much better than staying in cramped apartments in the city. Beautiful view, quietness. Cleanliness. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need.

Hard to find and far from town. It’s a hike up a steep path to go home at the end of the day.

    Gorgeous view, private and quiet.

In a small castle town on the hill. Very nice, quiet and suited us better than down in the town

The stove didn't work too well and the roof leaked somewhat upstairs when it rained. We had to walk through one of the other sleeping areas from the main bedroom. One has to be careful not to blow the fuses by using two appliances simultaneously. You have to walk up and down a steep hill carrying your luggage from the carpark. We were very disappointed in the small restaurant in that little village. You really do need a car to get to this place.

At first we had no idea where the house was as it is not possible to drive directly to it. It was kind of quirky but ok for 1 couple and two other single friends. It is in a small old town high on a hill with a castle which was really nice and different. Some good views but the trees lower down block the lake view a bit. It has a small outdoor garden and a good sized terrace for us to use. It had a washing machine which we liked as we had been travelling for a while. It is easy to get to Varenna which has shops, train and boat stops. The walks in the area were really nice.

Staying at the villa makes our visit to Lake Como that much more immersive!

The location is very picturesque and unique in that you have to walk down a mountain path to get to Varenna. It takes about 12-15 minutes and parts of the path are steep. The path comes out right at the ferry terminal in Varenna so it's convenient. Hiking back up can take about 25-30 minutes including breaks. The interior of the villa is fairly represented by the pictures. What the pictures don't do it justice is the terrace on the top floor. It is expansive with a beautiful view of Lake Como and the hillside and definitely a place to enjoy your coffee/breakfast before heading down the mountain path! The one restaurant in the hillside village (which Cristina would point out to you) is superb! So is Castle Vezio! Both are just steps from the villa!
