Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomNothing I didn't like
Clean and comfortable, good amenities, large pool and great location for trips to Vesuvius and pompeii. Town isn't full of tourists which we liked.

United KingdomWe loved the property overall but the kitchen/lounge area is very small for 6 adults, however this room leads onto a spacious outdoor dining veranda so we used this most of the time. The plug sockets are sparse in the bedrooms and we struggled to find ones that fitted our EU adapters - We also experienced intermittent power cuts a couple of nights in the area but it wasn’t down for long periods and didn’t really affect our stay. The sun loungers could do with updating as they were a little bit uncomfortable.
The outdoor dining areas & BBQ were lovely & the pool was just fabulous! Really comfortable & spacious bedrooms inside & it was spotlessly clean & well equipped. The owner left us a lovely welcome pack with lots of goodies which was very much appreciated! Plenty of parking space within the Villa grounds too (we had two hire cars).

United KingdomWe have just returned from a wonderful stay at Villa Salvius. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and all have air conditioning in them. The pool is fantastic. There is parking space for a car however we chose not to hire one and used the local train system. The train station is around 5 minutes walk from the villa. It was very straightforward to use and we were able to visit Pompei and Herculaneam and Sorrento. There is a local supermarket around 10 minutes walk. The area itself is not geared towards tourists and there weren't many places for eating out unless you travelled further out however we were happy to eat at the villa on the days we remained local. The villa owners were in regular contact and answered any questions quickly. They live across from the villa so were very close if needed. They even arranged our transfers to and from the airport. Overall it was a fantastic stay, we would highly recommend. The kitchen / living area is quite small. We managed well as a family of four but I could see how it might be more difficult for larger families. There is however a large terrace which runs around the outside of the villa with lots of space and large table. There is also a large bbq area with fridge and seating area around the pool which is another fantastic area.

United KingdomThere is not huge choice of restaurants and bars within a short walking distance, but we did discover Picciò Pub, ( 5 min Walk ) turn down the side alley to the restaurants entrance and you will receive a warm welcome.
Superb Villa for relaxing with friends or splashing fun with the family Located off the main road the villa is surrounded by agricultural land and other private dwellings and is very peaceful We arrived to a warm friendly welcome form the owners farther who happily showed us around the villa and gave directions to the local train station San Pietro and supermarket Sole 365. There are 3 large double bedrooms and a large 4th room housing a single and a bunk bed, very clean and spacious one double was equipped with an ensuite and the other bedrooms shared a shower room. The kitchen is well equipped and opened onto a large, covered terrace great for eating breakfast. The external space is excellent with plenty of sun loungers and seating. There is a BBQ provided, coals and lighter fuel are available at the supermarket ( 5 min walk ) along with a good selection of meats, cheese, and beers. We lit the BBQ on our first night and it was perfect underneath the covered external garden room which has running water to a stainless-steel sink, refrigerator, and a large dining table. The pool was a good size and was cleaned every morning, it was a nice relief to shelter from the mid-afternoon sun under the covered outdoor area or on the large, covered swing chair. We ventured to Pompeii for the day and visited the archaeological site we traveled in taxi from the Villa, and it cost £40 Euros each way once you have visited the site, I would recommend eating at Pizzeria iMatti

United KingdomMy only recommendation would be for more cutlery and plates/serving bowls. It would be good to have one set by the pool and another at the house.
The villa is very spacious and perfect for a family. The outside space is large and the pool is fantastic. The outside dining areas are both perfect. The villa is 2 mins walk to the station where you can jump on a train to Naples or Pompeii. The owner is very helpful and stays in touch throughout the stay.

United KingdomAmazing pool and garden area. The hosts were extremely friendly. Big bonus for coffee and breakfast items, and even better a full pizza for the family because they knew we were arriving late. Lovely people.

United KingdomThe kitchenette was very small and not ideal for a large group. it made cooking for 7 people very challenging. There was also no lounge area in the property so no ideal place to hang out in the evenings as being October it was a little too cool to sit outside.
The property was very clean and comfortable with plenty of space to comfortably sleep 9 people. The bunk beds made for a great room for the kids. The outdoor space was amazing. The huge pool was very clean and there are loads of poolside furniture. there is also a large covered eating area poolside. The property was located only 10mins drive from Pompeii and was a great base to explore the local area from. The owners were really great. Angelo met us on arrival and happy to help with any problems as he lived close by.
