How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The balcony leaked a little on the floor when rained but nothing crazy, however the balcony door was hard to keep closed it just kept opening sometimes hence the leak i believe. No problems otherwise!!!
The property was in a great location, we walked everywhere we needed to go, but was also close to train station and metro! The room was large and spacious with a comfy bed! The staff were absolutely amazing and soooo helpful!!!!!!! Able to do late check in and they left instructions and everything ready for us to check in easy after hours!

A small private hotel with only 10 rooms. Spacious room, with air-conditioning. Private bathroom with separate toilet. Kettle and fridge in room. Breakfast included. Easy walk to most sights - 15 to 20mins. Rome Termini only 8 minutes away.

Nothing of note.
Fresh, clean, comfortable, and central to visit all the attractions. Staff couldn't do enough, room was exactly as described, nothing more, nothing less just what you want when you're only using it to sleep as you're out enjoying the sights all day.

The shower didn’t have much pressure and the temperature was quite laggy but other than that the facilities were excellent.
The room was quite generously sized which was great as we had two suitcases. It was in a nice private and safe entrance way with an old elevator. The room overlooked a nice courtyard and water fountain with big windows we could open.

The wifi was abit weak, would work but also cut out intermittently. Location for approx 25min walk 2km+ from major sites. This wouldn’t stop me from staying here again though, it was a very comfortable stay and excellent value for money.
The room was incredibly modern and very spacious. Very clean and we had daily housekeeping which was amazing. Daily breakfast was on offer and staff were lovely. Easy to access and felt safe.

Great location, friendly staff, clean, good breakfast & service! Small rooms (typical for Rome) but perfect for what we needed - to explore Rome and rest our heads at the end of the day, and have breakfast before exploring again . We had our 9 month old baby with us and it worked!

Hotel was not well signposted so hard to find. Room was small but it didn't really matter. Only tiny rolls and bread for toast, not yummy fresh bread.
Ideal location, close to Termini station with several restaurants and a mini supermarket nearby. Very comfortable bed. Loved the old fashioned lift that took us up to the hotel location on the 3rd floor.

The soundproofing is almost non-existent, so if someone is walking or talking in the corridor, it feels as if someone is next to your bed. Earplugs are necessary.
The location is great, with all the main attractions within walking distance, and the Vatican easily accessible by metro. There is a ministry building across the street from the hotel, which means 24/7 police surveillance and we felt very safe there. The room itself is small, but that's what they have in most hotels in Rome. The bed was comfortable and the room cosy. The room was cleaned every day and we were happy with the level of cleanliness. As our visit was during the winter it was a positive that the room was warm. It should be noted that the bathroom and toilet are basically connected to the room and do not offer privacy, so if you need privacy, this is not the hotel to book.
