Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Location ski rental, pass and restaurant only over the road. Super easy! Straight on the slopes.

United KingdomHad a great stay. We were greeted by our host who shared a lot of great tips and insights for us to make the most of our visit. Really appreciated this approach. The building itself is a little run down, but the rooms are nicely decorated with comfortable furniture and were very clean. The location was great for us but may not be for everyone. There was a lung busting climb up from town after dinner every night. Ski area is the most spectacular I have ever visited but susceptible to closures due to high winds whipping around the Matterhorn. Was useful to have a hire car so we could be flexible on ski area when the lifts closed one day.

United KingdomLike most properties in Cielo Alto they are all quite dated.
Excellent location as ski in/ski out (although Cielo Alto chair is for expert skiers only). Good size studio, very cosy. Private parking which especially during weekend is an added benefit.

CanadaNo one was at the desk when we arrived so we couldn't check in. We arrived early enough to have skied had someone been there. It's a good hike up the hill. There is a bus but it's not always reliable. If you need to replace your bath towel it's 5€ which is ridiculous... It can be noisy at night if there are partiers in your section.

SpainThe building is outdated, but apartments are modern and they have all that you may need
First and foremost the staff!!, they were amazing! Thanks Maria and Eittore; views and the apartment were great. Beds are comfy. Location was perfect but keep in mind that you need some level of ski to ski in or out, and although not indispensable, a car comes handy to go to the village. (2 min drive)

United KingdomThe building is a little dated and think needs a revamp, but overall was good.
Good location, ski in/ski out, which was what we wanted. The Base Camp restaurant served delicious pizza too and nice to have the bar, ski rental and supermarket so close to our apartment. Our apartment was perfect for 3 people staying, however would've been a bit of a squeeze for 4 people to stay. It was great to be able to park right outside the building too, which made it easy access for getting too/from the village when needed.

SwitzerlandDouble bed was two single beds pushed together with a whole in between (couldn’t be fixed), one small portion of coffee would have been nice with a machine to make coffee. Tea maker turned into coffee isn’t it.
Location and price, the apartment was spacious. The view was spectacular from the room.

ItalyVery well located for skiing but note that it is not ideal if you are a beginner as the ciela alto chairlift (which goes from directly under the apartments) and the slopes coming back down and connecting to main slopes are not ideal for beginners as they are quite steep. For seasoned riders it is perfect. For beginners you ski down from the hotel ca 300-400m and have to walk about 2-3 minutes to the plan maison lifts. And to come back (as a beginner) you need to take the ski bus from Breuil cervina terminus. For intermediate riders and above you can connect via the nr13 slope which brings you back to the apartments direct Ski rental and ski school are in the building.

United KingdomThe room was clean and spacious. The view was absolutely amazing. The receptionist was an absolute darling, she was very welcoming and helped us with lots of recommendations. We enjoyed the ski in and out of the hotel and the proximity of the town center. We stayed for 8 nights, we manage to ski 6 days (one day was lost due to the weather). I am a beginner/ intermediate with this being my 3rd season skiing and the ski in and out was ok. After the first few runs I could confidently go in and out on my own.
