My daughter and I loved this place: the location just a few hundred meter away from the Frenchman's Cove, specious rooms, the views, lush greenery and the shared kitchen where all guests can use a fridge, a stove and a microwave.

United KingdomOnly negatives were the kitchen kettle didn't work properly (you had to hold the power button on) and there's not really any other close by meal option other than the relatively expensive (but delicious) in house evening meals. If the hotel invested in setting up hummingbird feeders, I am sure this property could attract more interest from the sizeable birdwatching community given its superb location.
Very upmarket place to stay—and the price reflects this. Extremely well managed and run with friendly staff. Nice and quiet. Superb location for anyone interested in birdwatching as it is within walking distance of San San police station, so brilliant for spotlighting at night (Jamaican Owl and Northern Potoo) and for the day time birds there (notably both endemic cuckoos). Well signposted although the property also emailed us directions on how to find them.

Warm welcome from Stephano. Great room, generous size. Air conditioning. Excellent full kitchen, large shared lounge/dining area. Good bathroom with plenty of space and good hot water. Guests can do a shop in Port Antonio and prepare full meals in the shared kitchen.

The location was great although it was a bit hidden. Place was very clean, I am not against the no shoe policy however would love if they had provided bed slippers to each guest upon arrival. The owner and staff were very welcoming. I don't think I would stay here again though.

United KingdomWe did have a problem with the shower (a cracked shower tray). The owner made another bathroom available to us while the repair was carried out. It was fixed that quickly that we didn't actually use the other bathroom, so a big well done for sorting it so quickly.
We had the Kilimanjaro room which was very spacious. Lovely bathroom, walk-in closet and huge bedroom. Had our own private balcony which overlooked the pool & the sea with spectacular views over the bay. Liked the idea of cooking for yourself or ordering from the menu for breakfast & dinner. Usually made our own breakfast & had dinner off the menu 3 times during our weeks stay. The food was excellent - especially the Jamaican options. We liked the no shoe policy indoors, just like at home. Staff were mostly friendly & helpful. We had a hire car but mainly used the Route Taxi's. 150 JMD to Port Antonio and a similar fare to Winifred & Boston beaches which were amazingly chilled. Pool was available 24x7, so after a day of sightseeing you could just chill out with some rum & reggae until you decided to go to bed. Also recommend the Sunday Vinyl evening in Drapers which starts at around 6pm.

United KingdomThe air conditioning in our room didn’t work properly and we didn’t have hot water in the shower. The cold tap in our room also didn’t work.
The property is quiet and well cared for. The rooms are well kept and the grounds and communal areas are looked after. We were welcomed by the manager on arrival and he showed us to our rooms. The chef was finished for the evening, but he made us some coffee and some sandwiches.
