Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThe property flooded very fast in the rain. LOTS of mosquitoes. 1 towel and 1 tiny bar of soap provided for a family of 4. No iron, no fridge or microwave in the room. On-site food and beverage prices quite high.
Full kitchen/restaurant and bar on-site. Room very large, king bed and queen bed. Walk in closet and big bathroom. Free mosquito repellent coils. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Strong wifi with extenders throughout the property.

United KingdomLimited knowledge of staff of local events, eg trips to Pelican Bar, literally up the road. No knowledge of Crab Festival happening on the day we arrived. Poor cross selling , and lost chance to help us have an enhanced holiday experience and probably spend more money. They will need to upgrade property, but are apparently in the process of doing that. Catering needs to be significantly strengthened and systemised or people will simply dine elsewhere.
Has the potential to be a very nice resort. Quiet beach. Very nice balcony for dining. Jash ( caretaker / manager) could be a great asset for the hotel. They need to push events like Black River Safari and YS Falls et al and offer to get people there. Offers something very different to all inclusives. Staff tried to be helpful and were always courteous.

United StatesFacility is under new management, so improvements are underway now, looking forward to it. Thanks.
Chef was excellent on location, food very yummy. The manager (Shanice), other employees (Omar & Josh), and owner were very patient, friendly, and accommodating. They went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied and content, even beyond their shift hours. They were truly the definition of wonderful customer service. Thank you all.

CanadaThe buildings and grounds are in dire need of renovation and maintenance. Ms. Gooden isn't the owner and so unfortunately, her hands are tied. The owner really needs to step up and invest.the money needed to bring this place up to a good level. Nothing fancy but at least have caps on the faucets, fix the cracked TV in the room, repair the deck and clean up the grounds. Put out some beach chairs. It's as if the owner doesn't care - which is sad as it's a beautiful location and Ms. Gooden does her best with what she has to work with.
Ms. Gooden was fantastic. From check in to check out and everything in between, she was amazing. She truly cared about your experience.

United Kingdom• The property has a dated appearance and some items could do with being replaced. • Bring insect repellent due to the beach location
I highly recommend Indigo Beach Resort for its excellent management, proximity to the sea, and peaceful surroundings. While the property does require some refurbishment, this is something the owner is actively addressing and should not deter you from visiting. Pros: • Stunning sea views • Friendly and helpful manager (Thank you, Ms Gooden). • Courteous and attentive staff • Delicious food • Mosquito net provided • Comfortable bed and pillows • Highly responsive to queries before arrival

LuxembourgThere is an extra cost for breakfast of 10usd plus tax which would be fine if it didn t feel somehow poor value for some scrambled eggs and toast and coffee or tea. Fruit plate is extra 4usd and consists of 5 slices of papaya and a slice of orange.
The property looks nice but needs some works on the communal areas. It is right on the beach. It s fine for a night or 2 but it is better to have your own vehicle to go eat outside. Las Vegas restaurant is very good option. For Black River Safari just go on your own to the departing point by the bridge and buy a ticket. 25usd pp. We were only 2 people on the boat. Be aware that the tour is not running on Sundays and in really bad weather.

United KingdomWas bitten all night with something other than mosquitoes only while lying on the bed to sleep. 🤷🏽♀️ The shower sprayed everywhere else other than the person in it. The toilet made an AWFUL LOUD screeching long noise when flushed. The plug sockets all looked terrifyingly hazardous.
VERY VERY beautiful spot, private stunning beach lovely olde world hotel with big room and bathroom.

CanadaThe hotel has a boat but it wasn’t available so we had to take a private tour to Pelican restaurant. We prefer doing everything from the hotel.
Delightful. Property has freshly planted flowers and its restaurant deck is under renovation, but still operating. Best sunsets on the planet! Food was fresh and fairly priced. The Jamaican breakfast was fantastic!

United KingdomI did not like the location. It was hard to get transportation to anywhere. The room was dark with mosquitoes and roach infestation. T.V. did not work and also the bed lamp. I had two nights stay and nearly got eaten alive by mosquitoes. Worst hotel I've ever stayed at. The best thing about it is that the few staff they had were quite friendly
Breakfast was fair

United StatesMy experience with Indigo was horrible. So first the room was moldy and not smelling fresh so I had to pay an extra $35 to be moved the villa. Got to the villa and there was no electricity in the area and there was no generator so I had to rent one and buy gas for it. The owner who seems to be living in Canada has no care for guest and didn't care to try to help. The staff there had no care. Also the owner needs to know that no one wants to be in jamaica calling all the way to Canada for help.
Nothing

Jamaicaloved the intimacy of the location and how homely it felt.. The property is fairly decent. The deck overlooking the sea was the show stealer and the staff 💕💕. Thanks Ms. Gooden and I think Ms. Mckenzie if I am correct the chef. Breakfast was wonderful (chef kisses) no complaints. The bed!!! I haven't slept so well in a longtime. Just a few fixes and the thing sell off. Thanks for having us!!
