Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomWe had a fantastic stay at the Prince Valley Guesthouse. It's in a very remote, beautiful area in the mountains. We stayed for a couple of days. On the afternoon we got there, we took it easy, relaxing on the rooftop and enjoying the amazing view and a beautiful sunset. On our second day, we walked for about an hour or so to the coffee farm (craighton) where we enjoyed an incredible tour. On our final day, we took it easy and relaxed at the property, though we were tempted to visit the school of vision rasta camp nearby or enjoy one of the nearby waterfalls. (Our only regret is that we didn't take advantage of the possibility of getting a ride from Kingston, where we were staying before, to the guesthouse. We took an Uber to a spot on the nearest main road from where one of the hosts picked us up for the final descent down challenging, worse for wear mountain roads. We realised we should have just taken the transfer from Kingston and recommend you do the same if you don't come by your own car. We didn't make the same mistake on the way back).

United StatesWe loved Bobby's hospitality the amazing views and the chef's nightly offerings. Bobby is an exceptional host: humble, kind and generous. He answered every question we had about the community, trees, wildlife and local fruits. He did his best to accommodate our diets, remembered what we loved and offered us more if it was available( gratitudes for the sugar cane Bobby!) The views from the guest house was absolutely stunning and worth the drive up the mountain. There were so many varieties of birds, lizards and trees that I lounged on the balcony the first day and feasted my eyes on nature's offerings. The food is Amazing!!! You would not know it from the humble accommodations that you would he dining on resort quality meals for breakfast and dinner but you will be. Bobby procures fresh fruits from his land and designs a beautiful breakfast plate each day along with the region's coffee or fresh herb tea. Dinner is a delight from chef Imar,a trained culinary chef who designs beautiful plates nightly with even more delicious flavors. We were happy with our meals every day.

United KingdomYou have to accept that this is in the middle of the mountains and you won't get the same home comforts you get in your own house. Showers are cold (but not freezing) and there might be one or two extra residents in your room - we had little lizards which were so cute! TAKE NOTE... Please take the recommended drivers from Bobby and Ruth as there is no way you want to drive yourself down there unless you have a sturdy 4x4. uber will drop you at the top of a long and windy road as they will refuse to drive down. Bobby and Ruth know who to call for a seamless journey to their lovely home.
What an amazing and beautiful place in the Blue Mountains! Wonderful hosts and delicious food (do have dinner and breakfast there - especially the Jamaican breakfast, a real treat! The tree house room is super quirky - you can't get closer to nature than practically sleeping in a tree! Great little honesty check list for beers and snacks so you don't have to bring any with you. Just enjoy the peace of the mountains, beautiful. Coffee is delightful and roasted by the host himself!

Cayman IslandsIt's a rustic and raw guesthouse deep in the remote Blue Mountains that's not expensive - what could I complain about?!
A rustic but beautiful spot tucked away deep in the hills. With multiple decks for taking in the view with a coffee or beer, it's a amazing place to absorb the scenery. Ruth and Bobby are great hosts, and the treehouse is no doubt one of the most unique hotel rooms I have ever stayed in! The drive might be intimidating but take it slow and it's no problem.

United StatesBeyond Ruth and Bobby's control is the condition of the roadway leading to their property. It is horrible. Hard to imagine, really. This is a steep hillside world with daily drenching by brief downpours. Erosion is real and manifest. When the sun is out and you are languishing in the embrace of this tropical world, the access recedes in importance... until it's time to leave. I recommend you ask for Ruth's assistance in hiring car and driver. You may not want liability for a leased car ruining your vacation. Desmond was my competent, affable driver.
It took 150 snaps with my iPhone to feel I did justice to the flora of Prince Valley. As verdant and varying as a tropical paradise is expected to be. The view from the covered patio extends over the more than 180 degree opposing skyline. Small birds flitting. Flowers in full bloom. All I imagined plus the generosity of my hosts Ruth and Bobby.

FranceBetween the great and diligent hosts, the great team, the great chef and the great cleanliness of the place, I'm not sure what to put forward first. Maybe the amazing view and peace and quiet as well or the good vibe? Highly recommand!

FinlandI just liked everything so much here! My stay in a treehouse was memorable, they cook delicious meals, breakfasts and dinners. There is no need to go out for eat. Friendly atmosphere overall. I did a lot of hiking and walking in the area. There are nice places to go, up to Holywell park and down to coffee estate, the church and roadside cafeterias. Also one beautiful trail takes to Gordon town by river and waterfalls and it is easy to get a transport from there.

NorwayThe place is a gem. Beautiful nature, Ruth and Bobby are perfect hosts, excellent cook, friendly staff and villagers. The road up from Kingston is challenging and we were lucky to be picked up by Desmond who knows every inch of the road. Holywell national park nearby has nice trails and stunning views (bring warm clothes).

PolandI wouldn't say that we didn't like it, but it's worth mentioning that driving there in a rainy weather condition might be a bit challenging 😀
Prince Valley is such a lovely place on earth. Views and location are amazing. Ruth and Bobby are the best hosts you can only wish. Chef Terence was cooking for us the best food we had in Jamaica. We were lucky enough to stay there a few days and meet the local super friendly community. I would definitely come back again .

NetherlandsThe last kilometers by car to the guesthouse were a disaster and, although I’m an experienced driver, it stressed me a lot. So be aware of that!
Ruth and Bobby are one of the most friendly and welcoming hosts I’ve ever met. The place itself is basic, but that meets the price paid. Excellent breakfast and dinner! A gentle hike to the waterfall is definately recommended.
