How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewThe location was convenient in terms of access to the town. The environment was quiet and very easy-going. The host was very accommodating and facilitated early check-in. The room was spacious and had all the amenities of home. The kitchen was full-size and included a microwave, toaster, blender, large fridge, coffee maker, cutlery, utensils, and pots. Items were available to make a hot beverage in the mornings. The room also came with a sofa bed and can accommodate 3-4 persons in the room. The location was very secure with an automatic gate and allowed for easy access to and from the location. There is a small pool at a sister location, which is within walking distance. Thanks for a lovely weekend!

Was a little hard to locate from the main road in the corner. The hot water takes too long to reach the 3rd floor in the mornings ( 15 -20 mins still no hot water ). Just waste to wait so long and have it running .

Verified reviewMy first reaction on entering Kai’s place was "WOW" this is better than I expected. The decor and colour scheme is spot on and I felt at home immediately. It has a functional kitchen, a lovely shower with hot water and a large comfortable bed. My favourite place was the balcony, where I spent hours just taking in the amazing and delightful scenery, as well as being relaxed enough to read. The hosts Sangela and Jason are simply the best and made sure I was happy and settled and answered any queries I had. I loved my stay so much that I have already booked again.
I loved everything about my stay, I simply can't fault it. I just wished I had stayed longer.

A bit noisy in morning as she runs a busses from there. Dogs can be a bit load. But it's bearable

The view was amazing, garden felt like peace it was truly the best. Waking up the day after my Wedding couldn't of been any better. MORE THAN SATISFIED 😁 I WILL BE BACK

Thanks for taking the time to give us your review. Sorry you had 1 of your 2 nights without hot water. Had I been notified immediately it would have been rectified as it was when you called. We use a propane instant water heater and our cylinder finish on that evening and when I was made aware of it the switch to the standby cylinder took place immediately. Thanks for your help with this.

Verified reviewI love everything about this place I recently had the pleasure of staying at Kai's Place, an outstanding Airbnb hosted by the wonderful husband and wife team, Sangela and Jason. The apartment was spacious, impeccably clean, and featured a delightful color scheme that made it feel both cozy and stylish. The location was perfect, offering a stunning sea view that added a serene touch to our stay. Sangela and Jason went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. They were always available, providing great conversation and invaluable life advice. One of the highlights of our stay was the delicious meals they provided. On Saturday, we enjoyed a fresh continental breakfast, and Sunday morning featured a flavorful Jamaican-style breakfast. We were also treated to an amazing Jamaican dinner on Wednesday, which was an absolute delight. Sangela's attention to detail and genuine care made us feel right at home. I will definitely be back and highly recommend Kai's Place to anyone looking for a memorable and comfortable stay.
I didn't like that i had to leave this beautiful spot. I didn't like the road that leads to the property. No fault of the property owner. It's mostly dirt and stone. A little ruff but doable. The host has been trying to get the attention of those responsible for road works in that area but to no avail.
Ricky you were a treat to host. You introduced us to Myles and Bevon, who, together with you, left here with a piece of our 💕. So looking forward to having you all back.
