Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThis is a relatively new camp and needs more development to be on par with some of the other wild camps in Jordan.
Mohammad D. is a fantastic host. This is a relatively new operation that unfortunately opened right as the Gaza/Israeli war was starting which has hurt business and stalled the property's development. It is in a good location for hikers looking to do Wadi Ghuweir. FWC is a very good option for the value-conscious traveler as it is substantially cheaper than the Feynan Eco Lodge. Also this is a very quiet and remote area. If you are looking to get-away from it all, Feynan Wild Camp is a good place to go!

NetherlandsVery special and authentic experience in the rural area of the Dana reserve. Mohammed and his friends do everything to make your stay comfortable and special. We took the beautiful Dana trail starting behind the tower Hotel in Dana village until Feynan ecolodge (4h, fast to normal walking pace, little breaks) where Mohammed picked us up by jeep for the last remaining 5 km to the camp. During the dana trail you cross various bedouin villages where people offered us tea. At the camp we got served a delicious home cooked meal. The next morning after a traditional bedouin breakfast we took the stunning Wadi Ghwer trail back, 5h (attention, no signal). Mohammed kindly arranged transport for us back to Dana, around 1h drive. The camp is rather basic and there is limited electricity (small solar powered handheld batteries). So bring a power bank to be safe. During our stay beginning of April 2024 there were a lot of mosquitoes which apparently happens this year for the first time and is very unusual. So we strongly advise to bring mosquito repellent or ask Mohammed if the mosquitos are still around! Usually, when there are no mosquitos, a highlight is to sleep under the stars as you can easily take the beds outside. At the camp, they are constantly improving the facilities so better ask Mohammed before you go about the current state of the amenities.

AustraliaThere a few extra costs to consider we paid 10JD for a transfer from Ecolodge to the camp and another 5JD for a transfer to the reception. Unless it’s a 4WD you will be unable to make it without the transfer.
We hiked from Dana to Feynan and stayed at the wild camp. It was amazing from start to finish. In the afternoon we checked out a canyon with water to cool down then had plenty of tea, a very delicious dinner and to top it off got to sleep under the stars (you do also get a physical room). Amazing hospitality and even better sunset. Also as two sisters travelling solo safety is a big priority for us, we always felt safe and comfortable during our stay.

United Kingdomall meals are additional extras so ask about prices before booking there is a 10 dinar each way transfer cost to the camp (2km) so it is walkable or if you have a 4x4 drivable conclusion- ask about prices before going
staff were very nice and catering location was amazing right near the Wadi Ghuweir- you can walk there from the camp it’s about a 2 hour walk to the start of the river which is very hot to bring lots of water. the property does offer a 20 dinar transfer to the start of the river (not canyon) (3km). but the walk is do able. dinner was a lovely range of food for 10 dinar meat and 6 veggie. breakfast was a nice spread for 5 dinar

AustraliaThis place is crazy. But honestly one of the best experiences I had in Jordan. Got a little lost trying to locate it after a long hike, but managed to find it ok! Hosts were super lovely and accommodating, with lovely home cooked food. The camp is really basic, but has clean toilets and showers and everything you need, but it is a wild camp, so don’t expect much. Sleeping under the stars was a highlight and absolutely surreal. If you decide to stay here (which you should), definitely just lean into the experience. It’ll be worth it.

DenmarkThe location is unique and like nothing ever experienced. The hosts Mohammed and Faoras were extremely helpful, kind and caring for us as a family. They came collecting us by the end of the trail so our little ones (and adults) didn't have to walk the remaining 5 km through the Feynan valley - completely unexpected but so appreciated by us all. The food is the best we have had so far in Jordan - Grown in the area and full of taste and love. All in all an amazing experience for us that we will never forget. We hope to get the possibility of returning.

BelgiumThe location of the camp is beautiful, it is very quiet and calm. We hiked from Dana via de Wadi Dana trail and stayed one night in the Feynan Wild Camp. The next day we hiked the Wadi Ghuweir trail. The Wild Camp was the ideal place for us to stay. The camp is very basic but you have everything you need. Mohammad invited us to have dinner with his family during the Ramadan, they welcomed us warmly and the food was great. We had a very good experience :)

Czech RepublicOrientation around camp can be a bit difficult, make sure, that you know the exact location of the camp!
Comfortable accomodation in the middle of desert. I walked down from Dana village, slept in this camp and next day continued to Wadi al Ghuweir. An excellent, world-class trip, which I can only recommend!

SwitzerlandI had a wonderful stay at Feynan Wild camp. After hiking down the wadi Dana from Dana village I arrived at this beautiful lonely place and felt very welcomed by the owner Mohamed, who immediately prepared some tea for me. As I was the only guest at the time, he took me to the village to have dinner with his charming family with 5 children, which was a very nice experience. We then drove back to the camp where I could choose one of the beds under the stars - a great idea that also allowed me to watch sunrise in the morning without even getting up! All of this while the facilities were clean, nice and all working. The next morning I walked up wadi al ghweir up to the parking, from where Mohamed picked me up to drive me back to Dana, so I could get my car and continue my journey. I highly recommend this camp. Mohamed used to work at the wadi feynan ecolodge and therefore has a lot of experience in the field. He now offers this much more economic opportunity within an hour walking distance from the eco lodge.
