Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

I had an unforgettable experience at the sustainable camp. Everything ran on solar power, and their commitment to eco-friendliness was truly impressive no plastic, spotless surroundings, and they even provided reusable bottles. But what made it magical was spending the night under the stars. Our host guided us through the constellations, sharing fascinating stories about how the Bedouins navigate and find meaning in the night sky. It was the perfect blend of nature, culture, and sustainability a truly unique and enriching getaway.

GermanyIt was a wonderful and relaxing stay in the Rum Planet Camp. We stayed two nights and felt very welcomed :) we liked that the camp is making a great effort to be sustainable (as little plastic as possible in the camp and entirely run on solar energy). The location is great, you can reach the camp with your own car. Everyone in the camp, especially Ahmad is super nice, attentive and takes great care of all the guests! Especially compared to all other camps that we passed by on our jeep tour we felt very lucky to be in the Rum Planet Camp, as it is very traditional, rather small family-run camp, is very well kept and has a beautiful common area, where all guests have their meals together. It was easy to meet the other guests in the camp and have nice conversations over lunch or dinner (if this is wanted) :) What also struck us was the cleanliness of the camp, we always saw someone of the staff cleaning some of the common spaces and also the rooms were very clean. The food was amazing, probably one of the best we had in Jordan. For dinner we ate traditional food prepared underground. Also the jeep tour we booked (4 hours) was exciting and very interesting, we had a great guide who showed us beautiful spots and made the best out of the tour even though we had a lot of wind and sand in the first part of the tour. He also made sure that we got to the popular spots before most of the jeeps of the tours of other camps :)

We had a wonderful stay - everyone was so kind and attentive. The place is beautiful, tucked away from the other camps - very quiet and peaceful. We did a hot air balloon ride in the morning which they helped organise, which was one of the highlights of the trip. The garden is beautiful to relax in, and we had really delicious meals!

SpainRooms were a bit hot in the night after the whole day of sun - we could use a fan to compensate though.
Ahmad (host) was very kind, he really went the extra mile to give us the best possible experience. Facilities were clean and comfortable. We did a 4-hour jeep tour with them that was also very interesting.

GermanyThis was our fourth time in Wadi Rum at Planet Rum Camp. I have known its owners for 8 years now, and all stays have always been excellently organised. The camp is an eco-friendly, meaning that plastic is avoided, and it is powered by solar energy. The staff are extremely helpful with regard to extra requests (e.g. transfers, activities), and arrange things even on short notice if necessary. The food (breakfast, lunch, dinner) was excellent; regional and amazing! The location of the camp is not far from the main road. The quiet at night is amazing, and you can see a starry night sky with shooting stars and the milky way like nowhere else. On a special note, they also helped me find the right spot to propose to my girlfriend during sunset - she said yes :-))

United StatesEverything was great. I loved I could drive there. Phone worked. I wish they had internet.
We loved this camp. It felt like a Bedouin camp, but it was extremely well organized, maintained, and laid out. I also loved the commitment to reducing plastic waste. The hang out space was excellent both inside and out. The owner and his family are committed to making this an excellent experience for couples. The only downside is that dinner is not included and that the owner asks for visitors to pay the booking.com extra instead of folding into the price.

BelgiumNothing to report here. We will definitely be returning to this camp.
This was our second stay at this camp and I believe we will be returning to this camp every time we decide to go to Wadi Rum in the future. It is a small camp. It's calm and quiet. It can be reached by car (non 4x4). Location wise it is great because if you walk a short distance outside the camp you can take breathtaking pictures of the sunset. Breakfast and dinner were also very good. An update from our last stay is a water filtration system. This means there are no plastic bottles. You receive a metal bottle upon arrival and in the dining area you can help yourself to drinking water. You simply return the bottle at check-out. We used to live in Jordan for 3 years and had the same filtration system in our apartment. No issues here whatsoever. The beds are of decent size, 2m long and I believe 1.80m wide. This time we decided for an ensuite which did not disappoint. The bathroom is nicely done with stone walls. It really stands out compared to some other camps where we stayed. Another important point - there is no wifi or cell reception in the camp, but if you walk 20-30 meters outside the camp you will get cell reception.

KenyaBreakfast was very limited. I suggest providing fresh juices and fruits, and also offering customers the option for different types of eggs (fried, omelette, etc.) Arab bread was cold and stiff - is it possible to keep it in a warmer or covered basket to maintain softness and warmth? Bed/mattress was a bit uncomfortable - perhaps a foam topper will be a good addition for the future.
Exceptionally friendly staff. Ahmad and his team went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay for me and my friends. They put in a lot of thought in answering our questions about the ingredients that went into the food, the history of the camp and the people that run the camp. They gave us extra tea and cookies after dinner, and even gave us loose tea leaves and sage to try out making tea whenever we got back home to Amman.
