  “A cool stay on Kagoshima Island! Barbara was so nice to us, always smiling and helpful! It is beautiful traditional japanese house set in a quiet place next to a beach, there is no shops in the area though, so prepare accordingly. It is a lively place where everyone feels welcomed. Really recommend ! Thanks for having us!”

  “Lovely hosts who offered lifts to/from the ferry. I declined as it's only a 15 minute walk. Super clean. Basic room but had everything I needed and I was given a kettle for the duration of my stay. Excellent place. Highly recommended.”

  “The hosts were super friendly, talkative and helpful. Location is excellent, really close to Anbo port, and perfect location by Anbo bus stop, perfect for those seeking to get to Shizenkan-Arakawa early in the morning (to climb to Jomon Sugi). They provided me with lunch and breakfast bento for my trip to Jomon Sugi. It's also perfect for restaurants, there are a bunch within a 5 minute walk, and about 10 minutes to the local supermarket. They also gave me bubble bath for the giant bath.”
