  • “This property and gardens are just as beautiful as the pictures. Quiet, rural location (car recommended). Easy communication with owner, he and his wife were very welcoming and keen to help in any way possible. Highly recommend if you’re travelling around Japan by car and want a few days chilling in vineyard area, with easy access to see Mt Fuji, do hikes, visit waterfalls etc. Perfect for a family with teens as you have the whole place, plenty of space. Nice extra touches such as the loan of kimono to take photos on garden. And the eggs from the farm shop are yummy!”

  • “The hostess was incredibly sweet! She picked me up and dropped me off at the train station all the days I was there, as well as helping me figure out an itinerary, where to go and what to do. She helped me figure out what buses to take and gave great suggestions for what to do in the area. The breakfast she makes is incredible! She also made me tea several times a day and warmed up the bathtub when I needed a shower. I felt so taken care of and comfortable. Though the location is a little remote, this was exactly what I wanted. There were very few tourists, only a few locals who had travelled there to hike. The city is very cute and peaceful, and the scenery is amazing!! If the sky is clear you can even see mt. Fuji from the upper floor! It was such a great place to relax and unwind, as well as experience the lovely Japanese mountains. My only regret is that I didn’t spend another night or two😅”

“Beautifully restored minka (民家) in a pretty village. The highlight was the upstairs seating area with great views of the area, perfect for a pre-dinner drink.”
