The place was pretty dirty. The hostel asks that you call/email them when you arrive to get a check-in code so after emailing, we had to wait outside the door for 10 minutes before a code was sent, so maybe notify them of arrival a little before you actually arrive. More expensive than neighboring areas where you can get a whole room to yourself for the same price. There was a bar for guests to hold onto while climbing the stairs to the higher beds which was loose.

Oh boy, where do I begin...? See, I had read some reviews warning about this place, and I thought some of them were over-the-top - for example, the bathrooms aren't as dirty as some reviews made it seem -, but some things are true. For example, it's true that beds get hot because there's no good ventilation, so you might not get quality sleep during summer. Also, since the only thing closing the capsules are curtains, there's nothing like soundproof capsules to sleep in. I am not exaggerating when I say that these were terrible nights for me: I couldn't sleep well because of the heat, but also because there was a guest who was SNORING LIKE HELL. I'm not kidding: he sounded like a motorboat, and there was no way to silence him! I kid you not: I literally abandoned the hotel at around 1 AM in search of another place to sleep because his snores were destroying EVERYBODY ELSE's sleep. I could only sleep for an hour, and around 4 AM, I decided to just leave the place and go home. The snoring man wasn't the hostel's fault, of course, but not being able to sleep here kinda beats its purpose, so I sincerely don't recommend in places such as this one. Please consider investing a bit more on a cheap hotel room than on a hostel. I was about to spend more just to sleep either way, so I'm honestly going back to hotels after this nasty experience.

It's cheap. This is a good option if you're going to Tokyo for a weekend and need a quick bed somewhere. Also, it's got a nice location, surrounded by lots of good restaurants and spas, and it's close to Roppongi. The bathroom isn't as dirty as other cheaper places, so it's overall tidy, although not not-dirty either.

Communal area is basically non existent. First day I got there my bed number that was booked wasn’t cleaned. Then cleaner then came at 18.30 and cleaned the other beds and questioned me about my name. This was the only staff I saw. The entry system is a bit confusing as the message isn’t very clear to enter the staff-less building. Ladders to top bunks aren’t very in line with the bunks so hard to climb up. Also no air conditioning in the actual rooms so it gets super hot.

Good location. Ok if you just need a bed for a night. Showers decent quality and relatively clean in bathroom.

Unfortunately, the bathroom facilities were not nice at all. One of the sinks was clocked for some time, the toilet for women got used by men as well, the toilets as well as the showers were dirty. There was no soap/shampoo/etc. People kept coming in also late in the night and in the morning, not everybody tried to be silent. Overall, it’s okay for a night, as it is cheap. Me and my friends wouldn’t have wanted to stay for another night.

Cramped living quarters, no common space, sick guests, disgusting bathrooms, no staff or customer service. We stayed for a week and midway through, the cleaning staff moved our belongings without permission, losing 2 of my items, refusing to reimburse. Bathroom permanently smells like feces.

it is close to the metro station, but the environment is so bad. it looks a little bit messy. and when I arrived at the guesthouse, there was no bed for me, then I needed to check for another room to sleep. Finally there was a bed with a curtain for me. then I slept well.

It was very dirty everywhere. Especially the bathrooms and under the mattresses. I removed the duvet cover and sheets as instructed and there was trash in the duvet and under the mattress. I’m not even sure it they change the sheets and duvets with every guest. The cubicle curtains were also broken.

The check in process felt more complicated than necessary. I didn't have a phone number, so I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to do the self-check in. As it turned out, they have an ipad in front of the door, so you can just use that to call. The message was also a bit long and confusing.

Price, location, was able to book quickly. It was clean, easy to find and was as advertised.

Remove or lower the volume of the alarm from the lock. I cannot believe how many people are not able to put 5 digit code in a simple electronic lock :O Improve or install some ventilation or airflow in bed cabins as they get very hot. Toiletries were missing under the showers, this could be checked and replaced regularly. Lift is scary!

Location is great, Akasaka, Roppongi and Shibuya reachable by foot or quick train ride. The bed was ok, and the bathroom quite clean.

Very small with extremely thin walls: I got unlucky to find a group of travellers that had some very loud snorers and not so self-aware about keeping the shower clean

Dirty, found lots of long black hairs in my bed, clearly not from a female so not myself, always waking up to them tangled around me which is disgusting. Not any staff on check in or check out which I just think is lazy, if you’re going to run a business you should at least be slightly hands on, seems the owner just wants a quick buck without caring about if it’s clean or not or who’s there doing what.

We had to have a room for two, the bed was so small that we didn't stay together. Forced to sleep in addition with our big bags because once the bed is unfolded, more space. It was really dirty, the trash cans were not empty and the toilets and showers were not washed. We found huge cockroaches in the room.

- photos are outdated - no luggage storage as previous spaces have now been turned into private rooms, suitcases dumped everywhere - door separating dorms was broken and removed - front door regularly left unlocked - staff throw out towels if you hang them anywhere to dry - bathrooms not clean, cupboard next to sink smells of garbage as presumably where they store the rubbish, mould on the ceiling and floor rarely vacuumed - floor above is definitely a brothel and below is a jazz bar so don’t plan on sleeping some nights only bonus is that it’s cheap and near metro stations, for one/two nights you might be fine

It’s literally a small little bed with a curtain and that’s it. There is no social space or living area. I stayed here one night and it was perfect. The beds are comfortable, clean, good facilities. It’s good for a night or two if you won’t be spending much time in the bed. No staff so just be aware. Location is close to the subway. I recommend for one night
