Very very clean, good location for Kumano-kodo. I felt like home. We also went to the restaurant Ajito and I loved the vibe and the food !! A real local izakaya with very fresh fish. You also have other good restaurants near the hotel. My room had a private balcony and also a washing machine on the balcony, it was very useful for my hiking. The hotel is quite small it is not crowded so it is very quiet. Thank you.

I wished slippers were available in bigger sizes. Also, if you are traveling with a full sized suitcase, there is barely enough space in most rooms to open them

Convenient location with many good eating opportunities in the area. The room and facilities like the shower and lounge area were very clean and equipped with all necessities. Good starting point for traveling. 2 free parking lots are available which seems reasonable given there are only 4 rooms

A sweet and spotlessly clean small hotel, stylishly appointed and all looks brand new. Good location an easy walk to Hatayama shrine, Lawson and some restaurants close by. Self check-in with pin code, but staff appeared within a few minutes when we had a small issue (no towels, immediately fixed). Small but comfy rooms, great shared bathroom facilities.

Make sure you tell them ahead of time if you intend to arrive earlier than the allowed check-in time. The PIN given only activates on the dot, so you would not be able to arrive otherwise.

Clean stay, but no frills. Kind of an unmanned stay. The adjoining cafe was not opened during my stay. Location was decent enough but not the best value for money.

Be careful when going up and down the stairs which is quite steep. Parking is quite limited and we took the only slot left even though we are the only guest.

The apartment looks new and well decorated in a minimalist (MUJI) style. Everything works well. We (party of 3) had the 3rd floor unit which is spacious enough, with attached bathroom.

The cleanliness but there wasn’t a lift and we had to lug all our luggage to the third story of the building. Other than this, everything was good.

Check in message explaining we needed a pin was only sent on the day and I didn’t have internet access so didn’t receive it. It worked out OK but would be better if they made this clearer earlier on especially for Sunday check ins when there are no staff.

We were the first room to check in for the day and everything was very clean on arrival. Having laundry facilities was very convenient for us.

There’s no elevator. The pillows are so firm and high. (I prefer flat pillow but there is no other option here) After check-out (10 am) you can’t leave your luggage at the hostel because there’s no staff available (There are limited coin lockers at the station). Maybe the hostel should provide english manual for the air-con remote control.

The room and facilities are clean. The location is very good. It’s near the bus stop and the convenience store. And if you wake up early like me and there’s no bus at that time, you still able walk to the Shingu station. The hostel has 4 bicycles to be borrowed with no charge. You can ride it around the city.

The room was a bit small, there wasn’t much space to put luggage or hang clothes. Some wall hooks and a shelf would be helpful. I only stayed one night, so it really wasn’t an issue.

The hostel is very clean. The staff was friendly and welcoming. I had dinner at the izakaya run by the owner and had an excellent meal. Every thing is new and in good condition, and the doors lock automatically, so it is very secure.

Nothing we didn't like. Stairs are a bit steep, so something to be aware of if you have mobility issues.

My wife and I stayed in the largest room on the third floor, and it felt much more like a hotel than a hostel. We had our own bathroom, shower, large balcony, and washing machine (detergent provided), but you need to pay for drying on the second floor. Everything was modern, new, and clean. Beds very comfortable. Check-in is with a keypad code and very straightforward.
