How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Toilet was old. Bed was super stiff so we had a bad sleep. Airconditioner was hot and we couldn't lower the temperature. Swimming pool is too expensive for a 2 hour use. They don't allow 3 years old and below to swim in the pool although parents are present. We had to convince the attendant that the child is almost 4 years old and we had to pay the elementary price for the pool use.

The bed was a bit hard for my husband. One extra kayer on the top of bed would improve the confort. Two year old could not join the swimming pool. If they have children pool it would be better (for us): The restaurant which served pizza, pasta tool nealy 60 min. The rest of section was much quicker. It would be good to make shorter serving time,or inform in thebeginning how long it would take to serve.

Please include breakfast by default in room rates. Having to book dinner was a bit of a hassle and lacked flexibility.

The sleeping facilities were below par. The beds were quite old that you could feel the springs in the mattresses.

Maybe the interior of the room, in particular the sofa could be reupholstered so that stains and loose threads would not be too obvious.

Verified reviewVery convenient location, ski in/ski out Amazing outdoor onsen a short shuttle bus ride away Staff were lovely Very comfortable room and bed, with lovely mountain view (if you ignore hotel Intercontinental bang smack in front of hotel)
The only bar available opened at 8pm, very odd - would have been nice to pop in after a ski and before dinner There was nowhere comfortable & warm to sit with friends and share a drink & conversation after skiing, there was a lounge which appeared to be designed for reading (& the fireplace wasn’t on) plus another area had a fake/heatless fireplace and was in a cold corridor Very expensive given how run down the hotel is & lack of modern apres conveniences The windowless breakfast & buffet area is entirely soulless, thankfully we found the level 2 breakfast area on day 2 which had windows A few lifts were non operational making the mountain not accessible to all level of skiers (need to be able to ski black run to get home from other side of mountain ) & once the gondola was closed only one green run was accessible Per alot of Japanese resorts, it has so much ‘potential’ to be amazing…
