The staff was friendly and the location was good; close to Kamakura station but far enough so you don't have any of the crowds. The room is spacious and clean.

Nice place, the owner was nice and helped me carry my suitcase upstairs even though I didn't ask. The room was nice and comfortable. The kitchen was convenient The place was quiet. As a solo traveler it felt safe.

This is a lovely, well cared for guesthouse. Very peaceful, quiet and the bed was really comfortable and the shower hot. The location is great - close to Chokozan Myohon Temple (beautiful hydrangeas, rich in nature and history, not crowded), and the brilliant Calendar coffee shop. I would definitely stay again.

The property has only 1 shower & 1 sink which can get inconvenient. Also there are no provisions to hang up your belongings as you’re using the shower room, which may seem a trivial issue but it does hamper your experience. It is also quite a walk away from the train stations, a bus stop is however just a few meters away.

Loved the large private room and ample closet space. The property was spotlessly clean throughout my stay!

The location was quite convenient (10-15 minute walk from JR Kamakura Station). As mentioned in some previous reviews, the rooms and all shared facilities were spotless and the owner was very hospitable and helpful. The room was very comfortable, highly affordable, and spacious. Another upside was that since the guesthouse was located in the local residential area, one could experience the laidback atmosphere of the neighborhood and get a glimpse into the lives of the locals. This experience is very precious, especially in walkable cities like Kamakura. I highly recommend Ano Guesthouse to anyone considering their accommodation options in Kamakura and I cannot wait to stay there again when I visit Kamakura. I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to the owner again for making my experience in Kamakura so wonderful.

The place was great to stay. All western style. Is good to have a western bed after too many days sleeping in a futon. The bed was great, clean and cozy. The kitchen was well equiped, so you can make your own food without a problem. Very cheap for the good clean space.

I liked everything. For tall foreigners or travelers with big luggage you might feel cramped but that is normal when traveling to Japan. Going up the stairs might be hard if you have very big luggage

The location is in between the station and beach. About a ten minute walk to the beach. The house is very clean and comfortable. The facilities were perfect, the shower is very nice and has hot water. I liked the washing machine and drying line in the bedroom. The bed and blankets were very soft and comfy and the neighborhood is nice and quiet after 10pm. I also really liked the shower room reservation set up. You can tell the owner put a lot of thought into setting up this house, thank you!

Everything was great, but you need to take into consideration that there are schedules: no showers after 11pm. Also, note that she will keep your luggage in the guesthouse after check-out. Something mildly inconvenient is that there is only one shower and one bathroom, thus, you cannot brush your teeth if someone else is using it to have a shower.

My train was late and the woman still waited for me to check-in, showing a lot of consideration which I appreciated. She then gave me some nice recommendations on where to eat and what to see. Besides, the bed was super comfortable. The whole was in general very home-like, proper bed, proper wardrobe to hang your things and a nice kitchen with all amenities needed.

There was only one shower and one toilet so sometimes you have to wait in line. But as it's a rather small guesthouse, then it's not too bad.

It was a really nice stay! Everything was really clean and the room was big. The bedsheets were super soft and comfortable. Also the owner was really sweet and spoke good English.
