How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments

An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

It was easy to get to. The room was very compact but it had everything you need. The shower was really good.

I didn’t realise that the room temperature would be set by the hotel as I could see individual aircon units in the photos. Initially I thought this wouldn’t be a problem as the window opened so I could use that to cool the room down but I must have been upwind from a smoking room as the stench of cigarette smoke meant I could not leave the window open for long. This hotel also was not willing to store a suitcase for a few days for me while I went to another location. Pretty silly really because I could have paid a luggage forwarding service to take it in the interim and if they had delivered it early (as I understand they usually do) the hotel would have had to have held it then. So I didn’t end up booking again with this hotel when I returned to Hiroshima and booked somewhere else which was happy to store a suitcase for a few days for me. This hotel does provide two pillows which is great although one of them was quite flat so I ended up buying a pillow to use during my trip. After returning to my room after it had been cleaned I saw there was a bag under the bed with other pillows inside but the bag and pillows were covered in dust which was very disappointing as it meant they were unusable and I am also allergic to dust :(
Overall, this is an excellent hotel. I liked best that it was within a 7 minute walk to Hiroshima station so it was very handy for day trips on the shinkansen. The room itself was very compact but a good design. They have thought of nearly everything in this hotel chain. The rooms must be sound proofed because although I was right next to the elevator I never heard it. Guests were generally quiet here as well. The bed is comfortable to sit on while watching tv but very firm when laying down so not very comfortable.

Very small room. Uncomfortable, hard pillows.

The bathroom wasn't very clean, there was some hair in the bathtub that clearly didn't belong to any of us.
We really liked the view of the near station and all the trains, very aesthetic.

Only downside to this one was it is close to the train station makes the wak easy 10 mins. But can be a little noisy rail side. But wasn't too bad I still slept well. Took a bit of translating to get a room swapped.
So far APA hotels have been good, you know what your getting and good priced depending on region. Small for some , cosy for others. I like the ease of control for Airton. Dimmable plus all lights controllable with charger ports by the bed. Cant go wrong. Staff were helpful holding my luggage after check out while I explored extra. Also fridge and lots of amenities. Free WiFi and laundry.

Parking not so convenient. External location for parking. Hotel on a main road. It was raining when we arrived so it was rather difficult to drop luggage in the rain and then go park.

Location is far from Peace Park for walking but ok distance from Hiroshima Station.

Their location was wrong On Booking and Google Maps. I wanted a place easily accessible from Hiroshima Station and it was not an easy process at all. I had to walk around the block several times with my heavy bags and I ended up having to take extra Ubers to finally find the place. Very inconvenient! The front desk staff tried to be nice bu just laughed about it.
Very clean. The facilities and WIFI worked well.

Can be quite noisy when open window as it is close to train station.
