The facility was in the style of a Japanese house. It was very clean and large, by the sea, and the garden was very beautiful. It had everything I needed as a solo traveler. The owners was very kind and helpful. They even took the trouble to drop me off at the station. Thank you very much. Everything was great :)

Very nice japanese style homestay well run by the couples. They are very helpful and provide valuable advise and help especially during tsunami warning issued during my stay in Izu. Well done and definitely will come back in the future.

Right next to the water, and the owner was so nice and cool! The beds were comfy, too.

The bathrooms were a little inconvenient (there’s 1 shower, 1 toilet, and one kitchen sink, and they’re all separated) but that can’t be helped. I recommend this hostel for a good experience!

For the value and it being a guesthouse, honestly my expectations were reasonably low. I was very surprised when I arrived and not only was the host kind, but the room was very large and spacious. As a solo female traveler, I loved that the space was both large, and that all entry points had locks to them so I felt safe being there and also leaving my valuables in the room while I was out during the day. The hosts were incredibly kind and understanding and were there to answer any questions I had. The town itself is very small, which is what I wanted, but it is accessible to other areas by train easily and the hosts are willing to drive you places for a small fee. I went to hike and decompress and this guesthouse made my experience a 10/10! Would recommend to anyone visiting Izu!

It is not a problem as all guests were quiet after 10:00pm, but the walls are very thin - something to consider if you are sensitive to noise. But I didn't have any issues!

Great location by the sea, easy access and proximity to the train.

As a taller traveler the bed was a bit short and I’m not exactly adjusted to buckwheat pillows.

A few minutes' walk from the tram station, with a convenient location—just three stops to the scenic Kanzaki Coast and two stops to Izu-Kogen, both popular attraction hubs. The owner couple is incredibly warm and hospitable, always ready to help, making you feel at home. It’s a great spot for a relaxing one- or two-night stay—soak in hot springs, stroll along the coast, and enjoy fresh, delicious sashimi. Note that the surrounding area lacks amenities, so it might not suit those seeking a lively atmosphere.

Really kind, lovely host who went above and beyond to help me e.g. dropped us off at the nearby onsen which was amazing. Very comfy beds, simple rooms. Lovely little place for 1-2 nights. Great seafood restaurant locally.

The host, Ken, was super friendly! Our bunk beds were wide and sturdy. The room was wide enough for the 3 of us with extra space at the back for luggage.

Host was really nice and explained everything about area. On our last day he drove us to train station so we wouldn’t struggle with our bags. Hill with train station is very steep and it would take us a lot of time and energy to do it without his help :) Thank you. Will definitely recommend to stay and we will come if we will be in the area.

It locates in a small and peaceful town. The sunrise is very beautiful, also able to see the fisherman bring back the fish. The place is cozy and host is very friendly, highly recommend this place.

Nice place, I just stayed there for a night at a bikepacking trip. The area is beautiful, there are many cats around and it is a nice place to watch the runrise

Wished there was a little cooking stove or something, but I just did not inform myself enough in advance

Clean, Comfortable, the traditional ryokan vibe is great. Close to station, the scenary around is wonderful. There is an awesome seaside opendoor onsen within walking distance. Most important, the owner is so nice and friendly!

Ken is a wonderful host, very friendly and accommodating. The guesthouse is in traditional Japanese style with nice tatamis and sliding doors, and located right next to the ocean. The town has a convenience store, a nice seafood restaurant, an onsen, and the train station is just a 3 minute walk away with trains every 30 minutes. We liked it very much.
