Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe lobby can get quite crowded and check-in can be a little confusing. Wish there were more vending machine options and more laundry machines. The breakfast was not very good. No luggage forwarding support.
The location is great, just a 5-minute walk to Kyoto Station. There is an attached Irish-style bar/pub called The Stones accessible from the lobby that was super convenient. Close to so many restaurants & shopping opportunities! Human staff is just a phone call away if you need something (like an extra room key). The lobby is spacious and there are clean restrooms available. The triple room was spacious enough and we each had our own bed.

Very good hotel. Only if they keep one water dispenser would be great as some times we forget to get water from store and limited or no water is left with us and we new’s to go out to purchase.

United StatesThe larger bedroom had a decent-sized bathroom, but the smaller one-bedroom felt quite cramped, which was a bit disappointing. It seemed like more attention was given to the two-person room than the single.
This was our second time staying at this location, and we were pleasantly surprised to receive upgraded rooms with more space than before. They were able to place us close together, and the beds were comfortable.

AustraliaThe beds were super hard. Couldn’t check in until right at 3pm (the dinosaurs were sleeping until then) and there was a line of people waiting at 2.45pm.
The location was pretty good, a short walk to train station and 7/11 along the route. The dinosaurs were cute at reception. The coin washing machines were convenient.

United KingdomWould have been nice for water bottle in the fridge and more green tea. We asked for the room to be cleaned one day and the beds were not made up.
What's not to like? Dinosaurs at reception were great fun! The online booking was straightforward and easy to check in with the QR code. We booked two rooms and they fulfilled my requirement to have them next to each other. The rooms are spacious and quiet considering Kyoto Station is opposite. Great location for food and travel.

PortugalAlthough functional for check-in/out, do prefer a humanized frontdesk. Poor options on vending machine and self-service facilities.
Good location, nice clean and spacious rooms, reasonable breakfast. Nice bar at the hotel.

SpainFrankly, for the price we paid, there weren't any downsides. I've been coming for 3 years to this hotel since it's so convenient!
This is a "normal" hotel (excluding the raptors that welcome you in the lobby) that offers a great value for its price. The best thing is its location, since you can hop on any train at the Kyoto Station in less than 2 min. The bar is also very nice!

Perfect Hotel is located in front of the train station, it’s super easy to reach all interesting points in Kyoto via train and bus. Room was very clean, comfortable and bigger than Japanese standard. Self check-in with dinosaurs was funny and easy.

- Fun experience (especially for the kids) to check in/out with dinosaurs machines - Space available to keep your luggage at the front if you arrive before earliest check in time (3PM), although it can run out quickly depending on other guests luggage - Clean and minimalist theme room - Clean bathroom (might be a bit small for some but OK for me) - 5-10 mins walking distance from Kyoto station, shopping malls also nearby - Good priced hotel

JapanThe room wasn’t cleaned enough There was a blue sticker which doesn’t look like the hotel set It looked like former customers left. Also, the corner of the room had much dust. And there was no human was in the front desk. I knew that most services there will be offered by robots. But I saw no one except a man who prepares breakfast. This is just how I felt.
The room was wide
