Had everything we needed. Close to the beach and a comfortable stay. Everywhere was spotless and the staff were incredibly helpful with check in and check out Projector in our room was a nice touch!

Dryer was out of service still. Beach clothes couldn’t dry between days very well.

Awesome location close to the beach

The room was cramped and the space below the loft bed was just about 1.70m. So you have to duck when moving inside the room. Although it was states I would have an own Bathroom, the toilet was shared. For what it has to offer, the place is too pricy!

I came to Kamakura for a month to finish writing a novel. Beach side House had an excellent location, right by the beach and also not far from downtown Kamakura. It was perfect for a writer’s retreat.

It would have been wonderful if there was an armchair to sit and read in.

Everything was spotlessly clean. Beds were comfortable. Location was perfect. Price was reasonable. We really liked the fact that there was a shared common area to the guest house, where we were able to meet and interact with other guests.

It was a little disappointing that the laundry facilities were not operational during our stay. We had really looked forward to washing a load of dirty clothes. Also, we prefer to meet actual live human beings in person, rather than "contactless" interactions via an app. Guesthouse staff responded promptly, and thoughtfully, to all of our messages via the Booking app, but not meeting anyone in person made it feel kind of lonely.

This is a great little property that is only a 4 minute walk to the beach and only 5 mins to Hase station. Very conveniently located property. A nice cozy room with a kettle, microwave, bunk bed, and private toilet and bathroom. It is very easy to get from the property to central Kamakura, or one of the surrounding areas. The property was very convenient in terms of checking in and checking out. Kamakura is a beautiful beach town.

The walls are slightly thin, and I could hear the muffled television of the room next door. That's all.

Huge space. Shower room was so nice and big. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen area was nice.

Great location. Easy check-in. Quiet and peaceful accommodations. The projector for watching movies was an added perk. Made it feel like you were home. I would recommend for anyone wanting to avoid noisy hotels. I appreciated the experience and would book again. Close to the beach and shopping. Highly recommend.

Room could use curtains to block light in the morning when wanting to sleep later but not a big deal.

Tucked away in a quiet neighborhood, just a few minutes walk from Hase station made this perfect for us. No need to deal with crowded streets, yet we could hop on the train easily. The beds were strange...but quite comfortable! And the shared living area had tea/coffee/hot water and a toaster, so making breakfast was fun. We also enjoyed the small living area within our room for welcome breaks between checking out Kamakura sites. The owners were very communicative by email when I had questions.

To be honest, we thought we had reserves a whole house, not a room in the house, so that was a big surprise. But in the end, our room was quite comfortable and cozy. The only problem was that the dryer was broken so we had to find places to hang our wet laundry!
