A really cute spot in this onsen town. The dorm beds are spacious. Steep narrow stairs down to the dorm rooms and shared space.

The service is very impersonal (i.e. no in person service) and there's really no amenities. I'd highly suggest they add some tableware downstairs (mugs, bowls, utensils) so you can at least make a cup of tea or heat up a dinner in the microwave.

Cozy bed and linens and a really beautiful location.

There was an odd smell in the dorm area. Don’t know what it was.

The cafe was great for brekkie. Sad it wasn’t open for dinner. It was my first stay in a hostel so I wasn’t sure what to expect. Certainly not the Sheraton but I feel it was decent for the price. Walkable to everywhere in Arima onsen area.

No Laundary, no dryer but it's was not necessary for one or two day staying. The stairs were extremely steep, so I need a bit of care The personal storage in each bunk bed, wish it had some damper or door holder so the lid stays opened.

Overall, the building was very cozy and warm. Nice wooden structure provided excellent mood.

Mixed dorm so slightly uncomfortable as it was only myself (girl) and another guy for the night. There is a private room upstairs and I’m aware someone was occupying it so felt a bit less uncomfortable because of that.

Quiet and comfortable, good value for money.

Free common area looks sad 😕 Breakfast area closes early so I can’t sit there at the evening even after ordering food

Good value for money, walking distance to the old streets, bus and train stations. Perhaps the owner can try to provide some cups, plates, spoons.

Not a lot of sound proofing between beds and light shone through the gaps in the frame. Location was almost an hour from Kobe and a steep walk to local town center

Beautiful, super clean, great location and value- super comfortable beds with some soundproofing- loved having cafe restaurant attached to hostel- it was a very close walk from the ropeway and close to train onsens as well.

Uphill from the main town area/convenience stores but not far to walk in. Elsewhere it would be considered expensive for what it is but not for this town.

Really nice hosts. Very comfortable beds. Clean. Nice to have microwave for evening dinners. Relaxing hearing the river.

The air mattress in my bed was horrible on my back. I wasn't expecting this kind of mattress. Maybe this is a matter that isn't going to make everyone happy, but my preference is for a mattress with more substance 🥲

The location was nice! Very easy walk to the main neighborhood of Arima Onsen! Breakfast was as delicious as everyone raves! Highly recommend.

Nothing displeased me.

The close proximity to temples, onsen and food outlets. The. breakfast facilities and the polite manner of all staff.

The light switch is not easily to close.

Staff are nice and friendly. The breakfast is good and delicious.

Really clean and comfy, good beds, helpful staff, really good location for sightseeing and visiting the onsen. Easy to get to the bus terminal too, and climb mt rokko. Also, very spacious beds with storage space.

Music for the cafe started at 7.15, which woke me up a lot of the time. The bed was very soft. Weird smell in the evening when the windows were open. (Maybe from the waterfall, maybe from the cafe, idk). No bed/cozy light or nightstand.

It was a very spacious room. Howtel with cafe attached, so no worries about breakfast or dinner. Next to a waterfall, which is a nice sound for a little while. When the windows are closed, you don't hear the sound, which is nice. Lovely shower, big communal space in the basement.

This is my 4th time staying here. The first time some years ago, the cafe was busy with what appeared to be locals and the food was good and the portion size average.. Now there didnt seem to be anyone eating there only a few guests and I can only put this down to the small portions, which were slightly embarrassing. The salad was some iceberg lettuce and a tiny piece of carrot in a small bowl. The soup was nice but again a tiny portion in an even smaller bowl. The "main" was a sandwich with a single thin slice of parma ham and some melted cheese. This spoiled my stay there and to make matters worse, when I went down stairs to put my bag away, the server ran after me asking me to pay. I would not recommend anyone to eat here.

I ate in the cafe. This was the worst part of the stay. The portions were very small and not good value at all.

The room had a tendency to overheat, but there were also times when the air conditioner wouldn't work very well. Even though our stay was comfortable all in all, the temperature was difficult to get right. The downstairs kitchen didn't have any utensils or cups to use.

I liked the location and the modern design very much. It was very clean, and there were nice free to use slippers. Very happy that there were lockers with keys free to use.

The flooring is too thin, and the slippers were too loud to use - might have caused trouble to other people.

It was very convenient and the location was nice.

The only bad thing was the noise, as the beds were pretty creaky when going in and out. But I guess that’s just how it is when sharing a room with random people.

It was much nicer and cleaner than expected, easy to find and convenient. The café looked really cute! I found the bedding very comfortable.

Breakfast was very good. The croissants are amazing 😍 Very comfy thick mattress!! It's soft but not so soft and it makes you feel relaxed 😌 It was clean although I felt that the faucet could have been cleaned everyday: there were a lot of stains from other customers and guests. But nothing important. They give you a toothbrush and a towel. There's a fridge, a kettle, a microwave and a toaster. That's all. I recommend to buy the breakfast.

A good deal for being in Arima, but overpriced by itself. The capsule is extremely small. There are unnecessary extra costs for late check in. I didn't like that I haven't been informed that I was the only female guest in the mixed dorm. The staff is not there at night as far as I know and I feld uncomfortable.

The place is very cozy.
