Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaAbsolutely wonderful! Nothing to complain about. The hotel is just a short walk from the metro station and surrounded by plenty of local amenities. Unbelievably generous — they serve regular meals at fixed times, and soft drinks are available all day without limit. Even beer and alcohol are free of charge, though I personally didn’t drink. The onsen is open anytime and completely free to use. I’m fully satisfied and would definitely stay here again! Thank you to the staffs for such a great experience!

JapanI've stayed at many Anshin Oyado locations many times. This location is both close to the station and very clean. Some capsules at this location have extra ceiling height, which makes it even nicer. I will be staying here again in the future.

CanadaThe bathing facilities , the mineral spa. The free food and and drink. I was veyr comfortable and would stay again.
Really a nice place, very basic but common areas were very good. Good basic free food and free alcohol, the spa was really very nice. If you don't mind showering with other males the facilities are quite nice.

SingaporeDo take note if you are travelling with a lot of luggage, capsule hotels like this isn't the best place for you. Also if you're travelling with a female partner, she won't be able to stay here as it is males only(there are other female only branches)...so it might be hard to coordinate your meetups.
The sento is the best, there's also a mist sauna for you to heat yourself up with 😀 Huhe selection of alcohol (first 5 cups free!) For a capsule hotel, this is definitely worth the money for a traveller to get, there's a lot of amenities. If you are a solo traveller travelling light, this place is also ideal.

United KingdomI usually have an absolute horror of hostels or anything where I don’t have my own room, but was blown away by this place. The pod was more comfortable than expected and I slept very well. The bath and sauna were nice and everything was spotless. The thing that really impressed me as a European was how respectful and well behaved everyone was - there was no noise or mess. The lounge area was a great place to just sit quietly and enjoy the free booze and food. I would come back here in a heartbeat.

CanadaIt got very, very hot the one night we slept there and there was nothing we could do besides turn on the fans in the pod and get a cool pillow from the front desk. Also there is nothing you can do if another patron is a loud snorer except put earplugs in which isn’t ideal if you are also trying to sleep.
The facilities, location, and staff were superb. A pod hotel but felt like a classy airport hotel. Very close to Akihabara station. The lounge was excellent for hanging out and getting a free breakfast or snack throughout the day. The operations of using and navigating the hotel was great too.

New ZealandAny complaints dwindle into being meaningless. The lights in the capsule floor stayed on overnight, and with a not-entirely-opaque capsule screen, it did disrupt my sleep a little. The curry in the morning was too salty. Both very minor complaints. Possibly need some enzymatic cleaner for the L2 toilet. Everything else was great. Be aware there are no private showers! All showers are downstairs in a shared space.
What a fantastic capsule hotel. The all-day rice & soups, the morning curry, the evening drinks, the artificial onsen, the location, the amenities in the bathroom & at the desk. I had a much better stay than I expected for the price. I spent over 90 minutes in the massage chairs during my overnight stay there. (spaced out so I wasn't monopolizing them!)

SingaporeThe walls of the capsules don't stop noise from neighbouring customers but, that's to be expected at a capsule hotel
I loved the staff. They seem to always be on the ball, constantly refilling towels and etc. They were also very forthcoming and friendly at every turn.

New ZealandThis was probably my favorite experience while in Japan. The shared spaces were clean, quiet and very comfortable. They had an amazing bath space and all the staff were very helpful and respectful. The wifi was fast, the food and drink was also great. If you don't do well with sharing space and prefer to have a more private stay then I would avoid but otherwise I would highly recommend. Every guest I came across were quiet and respectful and it's a very relaxing atmosphere. For a solo traveler or for a small group of guys (this is a male only accomodation) this a very affordable and enjoyable place to stay.
