Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesAs a smoker you would think it would be hard for me to notice the smoke smell in the air inside the hotel. But it was very strong. And the beds were very firm and I woke up with muscle aches because of how hard they are.
Location is convenient to all of the places around Yokosuka.

JapanThe address leads to an alley and parking area, not the hotel itself. Right next to the alley is a fake entrance that is blocked off. The real entrance is on the other side of the block essentially. So at first, I thought I had booked a room with a closed hotel. Additionally, the walls were really thing, so I could hear other people in their rooms and smell smoke from the smokers rooms (mine was non smoking). Lastly, there is no thermostat in the room, so it was hot and stuffy.

AustraliaThe double bed is very small for two people. Not very comfortable. Though the twin rooms which we also had were great. Better to go for a twin room than a double, much more comfortable. Price was quite excessive for what was offered.
Very close to the train station and centre of town. We liked the old fashioned charm of the hotel, it has a lot character. We were able to leave our luggage after check out for the day.

JapanThe wall next to my bed had constant vibrating noise as if like there was some kind of machine operating. It didn't let me sleep even for a second and it made me very exhausted all day. Also, the walls are thin and you can hear neighbors next door or people walking and talking in the hallway during the night. Make sure you bring ear plugs or headphones, otherwise you won't be able to sleep. The hotel itself seems to be old, they should clean air conditioning system, because it's full of dust which you breathe. If you have dust allergies, avoid this hotel. Also, I wish they had female amenities, like face cream or makeup remover.
Staff was really nice and assisted us with all our requests. Amenities like shampoo/conditioner and body soap and of good quality, there was a coffee set and green tea in the room, which is nice. The breakfast has all you need, very delicious and staff helped me to check allergens, since I cannot eat some foods.

JapanThe bathrooms are too small, but that is due to the design of the hotel overall. It would be nice if they were bigger, but that would mean and overhaul of the hotel itself.
It was close to the station and to Yokosuka Navy Base.

United StatesProximity to the train station does come with noise if this bothers you. Guest room floors have a mix of smoking and non-smoking rooms, so even if you book a non-smoking room, you may notice the corridors smell like tobacco.
Very convenient location adjacent to Keikyu Yokosuka-chuo Station, numerous dining and convenience store options minutes away. Clean room with nice amenities (tea is a teabag, and coffee is pour-over, Pola branded bath soap, shampoo, and conditioner. This property is older, but well maintained: A stay here is like stepping back into the late 1970's/early 1980's.

United StatesThe strong cigarette smell will cause some health issues. I just wish they offered some kind of price adjustment instead they blamed the Booking.com for the no-refund policy. I paid the full payment for the 3 days stay even without using their room. It's very disappointing. The room they gave me was very old, like 60's old and i asked for a room change. They wanted me to stay overnight in the same room and do the changes the following day. Their policy does not protect or care for the customers. The price was super expensive compared to the frustrating policies and nasty smelling rooms they have. The front desk staff was not helpful at all.
Smoke smell was so strong all over the hotel. The room they gave me was so old and so smelly.
