The property was at a great location. If you're new to Tokyo and flying into HND, you can get a one way ticket on the train for a couple dollars. I'd recommend a 72 hour unlimited tokyo metro ticket. This hostel is centrally located, the staff are super welcoming, and there are cool people staying there. There's a nice kitchen and lounge room. The bathrooms are also kept in nice condition.

It was a little hard to get the AC to a comfortable temperature. Also would have been nice to not have shoes on in the room.

Convenient location and comfortable. I stayed in the four bed dorm and felt like there was plenty of space. Staff were really friendly and the common area was nice.

Maybe the breakfast menu for food could be expanded a little more; nevertheless the food that I had was still very good quality.

I absolutely loved the location, atmosphere and concept of the hostel. It was really a great place for people from different cultures to gather and meet up all together.

It’s in a quieter part of Tokyo. Can take a while to get over to Shinjuku/Shibuya, but is well connected with the trains.

Citan is a great spot to stay in Tokyo, the facilities are great and the staff were really friendly. There is a really great vibe overall. The cafe downstairs makes a great coffee during the day & you can grab a drink at night.

Slightly awkward spot where nothing much nearby but near enough with a short train ride

I wish they had ironing board. I do feel that the space can be a little tight, especially when sharing with others. It can make packing a little tough.

Location: it's quite central and well-connected to multiple train lines. So it was easy to get around, even to further parts of Tokyo. Additionally, it's a relatively quite neighbourhood with alot of supermarkets, which I appreciate. Cleanliness: super clean common areas e.g. toilet, bathroom, lounge, pantry etc. Amenities: they provided towels; earplugs; soap and shampoo; snacks and tea in the pantry; map of the train lines etc. I also appreciated that we could bring /keep our luggage in the room itself (rather than in a locker on separate floor).

Tiny kitchenette for guests, can't fit more than two in there at a time, which becomes difficult with the number of people staying here. Dryer is really inefficient and takes too long to dry clothes. Cafe is very pricey

Industrial-sized AC machine made sleeping on the top bunk uncomfortable. Had to wrap up tightly under my blanket to stay warm. Roommates (other travelers) were uncommunicative re: adjusting the settings. 3rd floor men's toilet had water(?) on the floors in front of both urinals and in the WC in front of the toilet. I avoided using that room as much as possible and went towards the isolated WC at the other part of the floor.

Front desk was very accommodating to my communication needs, was prepared ahead of time to convey information clearly in a format I understood. Location was very good, near a train station and many places to drink and eat. Value was solid for a place that's nearby the center of Tokyo. Café on the first floor with a variety of hot and cold drinks available. Bar on BF, good for unwinding after a long day. Only several minutes' walk away from Akihabara.

It was pretty good, nothing worth mentioning as bad during my stay.

The location is a bit far form main areas like Shibuya, but it is very easy to move around from the hostel as it has metro lines close by. The rooms are clean and comfortable, restrooms are also very clean. The staff is nice.

The beds were slightly a bit too hard for me, but wasn’t a major problem at all.

Friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms and bathrooms. Loved the decor, records and downstairs bar. Nice coffee shop in the hostel. Lots of nice little touches like umbrellas to use when it was raining. Brought an extra pillow up to the room for my friend when she asked for one too. Staff gave us great recommendations on food in the nearby area too!
