Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BelgiumThe hotel is located a bit further from the centre of Sapporo (still only around 20 mins walk and close to the metro though). Breakfast was overall nice, but the Western options were relatively limited.
The room was on the larger side for a Japanese hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, and we were also able to wash our clothes in the laundrette. The bed was really comfortable and also large, and the TV had access to streaming services like Netflix and Youtube, which is always appreciated.

SingaporeAlmost everything is self service. Check in/ Check out, amenities. Nothing wrong with it, as it is where the hotel looks to save money, with great effect. But certainly something to be aware of when staying here.
Clean rooms, sleek design. Probably the nicest bed and linens I slept in during my stay! Public bath is very atmospheric and lovely. Great value for money

South KoreaThe staff were friendly and helpful upon check-in/ whenever we had any questions. Our room was really spacious. The bed was really comfortable, the view over Sapporo was great, and the bath was large and comfortable. There were also a few different seats to use, which made it nice for relaxing in the room. The onsen was a good temperature for me. We paid for breakfast one day and really enjoyed the different foods that we ate. The location was good - very close to Nakajima-koen (which is really nice to walk around), 5 min walk to Nakajima-koen Station, c. 10-15 min walk to Susukino area, plenty of conbini nearby.

United Kingdom4 washer/dryers for such a big hotel? 24 hour coin laundry is 6 mins away if you need. Only 1 small, hard pillow and using winter duvet in summer.
Staff were incredibly helpful. Location was great. Far enough from the noise but a good walk every night to wander. Nakajime park - our favourite is 5 mins away. Seicomart across the street. Lawsons and 7 11 nearby for easy meals. Airport bus goes 10 min walk away - not from Nakajime koen. Runs any times an hour. Aircon unit in the room.

ThailandI would give it a full 10 out of 10 if it weren’t for the location. It’s situated near Nakajima Park, and you have to walk a bit from Nakajima subway station to get there.
The hotel is clean and provides good service, living up to Daiwa’s usual standards. The price is reasonable, and there's an excellent public bath—quite spacious with strong water pressure and fully equipped amenities. The hot spring bath is fairly large, and they even offer free ice cream after your soak. Although the room is small, the layout is well-designed, making efficient use of space with adequate storage. The staff are friendly, always smiling, and ready to assist with anything.

IndiaLaundry facility was available. The small change which has to be made to the laundry machine was the machine gave the clothes extra hot which led to formation of precipitation on the clothes and wet again which had to be manually dried using hair dryer.

GermanyVery well maintained property, with a good breakfast buffet, and some nice extra goodies such as your very own pjs provided in the room, free popsicles after relaxing in the onsen-type public bath of the hotel, or free extra toiletries in the lobby in case you forget something. Overall very good price for value.

The hotel is in a good location- close to the train station and a great park. It’s walkable into the main areas of town (long walk). The staff were friendly and helpful. The onsen was nice after walking many kilometers.

United KingdomI really liked the location as it was a convenient short walk to the Metro station, and also a walkable distance into the Susukino area in the evenings which I really enjoyed. The distance meant that the hotel was in a quiet area at night but was still very accessible. It's also located opposite the Seicomart Office which has a 24-hour convenience store at the bottom that was great for supplies of drinks/snacks. Facilities were very comfortable, the room amenities were all very pleasant and the multi-port charging cable was very handy. The onsen was also very spacious and comfortable - shame that it shut at 12 as I arrived very late on my first night, but there were bath salts at the amenities bar that you could use in the room's bath as well!

SingaporeLocation a bit far from everything.
So surprised that we were given an upgrade, a great way for us to start our holiday especially since my daughter was sick that day! Had a good rest at this hotel. But it’s a bit far from the main shopping area. It’s a convenient store opposite the hotel which you can get hot food and most necessities.
