Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

JapanIdeal place for a long stay: very good location (5mn away from the station, but quiet and several convenience stores around, easy access from city center), excellent services (hot spring, relaxation room, laundry, yonakisoba service!), and excellent breakfast. I really enjoyed a great stay here, and it completely exceeded my expectations.

SingaporeSome dormy inn hotels provide massage chairs outside of onsens. Would be nice if we have a couple too
Standard good quality as per most dormy inns. Clean, proximity to food options/train station. Onsen well maintained.

PolandI have no complaints at this time.
Service and facilities were exceptional. Staff members spoke English well. Not only was there breakfast included in the price, but also Yakult and ice cream for cooling down after taking a bath in the hotel's 9th floor onsen, as well as late night ramen and a small complimentary snack in the refrigerator of the room. The public bathing facilities were very clean with many bathing amenities, and included free washing machines (no need to bring your own laundry detergent) and incredibly cheap and effective drying machines. The bathing facilities could be used even very late at night/early morning. There was a wet sauna in the bathing area as well. Fresh towels were provided daily to my room, with no need to request it. I had such a good experience with Dormy Inn in Fukui that any future trips I plan to Japan will have this hotel chain as a first priority when booking places to stay.

LithuaniaThe hotel is located within walking distance from the train station. There are many shops and restaurants nearby. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Good breakfast, everything is very tasty, many dishes of Japanese cuisine. The staff is friendly and tries to help at all. Additional advantages - a public bath in the evenings and free evening ramen. If we find ourselves in Fukui again - we will stay in the same hotel again.

PortugalAmazing onsen to enjoy. Even with tattoos, tou até allowed. Just have to cover with a sticker they give (8x11cm). Just remove it after each use. I have left for 2 days and was very difficult to remove. After o e use it is easier. Have free noodles soup at night which allows for free dinner. While in Fukui enjoy Daihonzan Eiheiji temple and go to Katsuyama not only for the dinnassaur museus but also for the Echizen Daibutsu temple. No tourist and one of the most beautiful.

ChinaThe breakfast ends a bit early. It would be better if it could end at 10 or 10:30.
The hotel is just a short walk from the train station and surrounded by many great restaurants. The room was spacious and clean, and the staff were warm and friendly. Breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of options. In addition to the hot spring, they also offered complimentary ice cream and Yakult, which was a lovely touch. We truly enjoyed our holiday.

SingaporeThe standard room was small and unfortunately we could not change (due to availability). Also though not too far from the station, there are other hotels more conveniently located.
Love the onsen where you can view the distant mountains and nearby river (from a window).

United StatesNothing really
Great stay--I was expecting more of a dorm or hostel-style accommodation, but it was a (quite spacious by Japanese standards) room with private bathroom. For being part of a tower block hotel (rather than the in-the-ground ryokan experience), the ninth floor onsen was delightful and had both in- and outdoor pools with a nice view of downtown Fukui. Quick walk from here to the main train station, and lots of dining options nearby.

MalaysiaNothing.
The hotel is about 5-10 mins walk from Fukui station. But I don't mind walking. I love the hospitality of this hotel. Different food or snacks served at different hours for free. Love their onsen. I tried it for the first time and loved it. Staying here for 4 nights and had onsen for 3 nights. Their staff were very polite. They have branches in other cities. Will definitely come back again and highly recommended.

GermanyIt's definitely not a common sight for staff to have foreign tourists coming to the hotel and Fukui, at least we felt like they were a bit uncomfortable speaking to us but were friendly and helpful overall.

I’ve been traveling the world for both leisure and work for several years now, and this experience stands out as the most valuable for the price I paid. The onsen is charming and the hotel conveniently located near everything.

United StatesNo comment.
Easy access to the bus and train station. Wonderful onsen and sauna facility. The room was possibly the largest room I have stayed in during 60 plus days in Japan. Loved the free soba dish offered for late evening eating, it was very tasty and warming before heading to bed. Staff was friendly and helpful.
