The best part of this stay was the location! Our son is going to Doshisha University which is very close. Also within a walk of many restaurants and convenience stores as well as train station. The downstairs bathroom is especially beautiful.Very easy to check-in and informative host.

This house is in a great location in Kyoto, very close to the subway, restaurants and convenience stores. It is exceptionally spacious by Japanese standards and accommodated our group of 4 adults and 1 child very well. Everything was working properly and we have no complaints. The owner's service was also always quick and clear. They even leave a folder in the house with all the necessary information on how to use the facilities in the place, give recommendations for restaurants, pharmacies, garbage disposal procedures... everything to make the guest's life easier.

Minor point but I struggled to work the microwave

We loved this house! It made us feel like we got a taste of life in a Japanese home. Beds were very comfortable, lovely & clean & great communication from hosts.

Nothing bad to say, it was great.

Everything was great, there was even a half bath that was not in the description. It was very clean, very close to stores to get essentials, very close to the subway. It was a very nice neighborhood, easily walkable. Really very impressed with the whole place.

The only minor drawback is no outdoor drying capability so our clothes took very long to dry (but this is very minor and not a deterrent). I would also recommend more hooks for hanging/drying towels in the bathroom.

Excellent stay at Cochien Imperial Garden. The house is roomy, comfortable, modern and in a great location. Communication with property manager was easy and prompt. We had no issues during our stay. It was our best stay in Japan. Every amenity was thought of, from toothbrushes to kitchen supplies. House is absolutely beautiful and we would definitely return again.

Would have been better if there was parking near the property. The location was quite difficult to find at night.

The apartment was very well designed, very nice indeed. Would love to stay at Cochien again if we ever come visit Kyoto.

Situated on a main pedestrian thoroughfare used by uni students throughout the day and evening - sometimes a little noisy in the downstairs room

Excellent location close to the subway and next to the Imperial Gardens Convenience store and curry house close by Fantastic little house which has been well-designed and tastefully renovated. Toilet upstairs as well as full bathroom downstairs (including laundry). Well-equipped kitchen. Good heating/cooling. Comfortable beds upstairs and futons downstairs; plenty of room. Good communication from property manager beforehand; we were also able to leave our bags prior to check-in.

Great apartment. It was clean, spacious and comfortable. The bath was much appreciated at the end of the day and there were plenary of towels and toiletries. We liked the area as it wasn’t busy but a close walk to park and shops.

It’s a bit far away from many of the shrines and other Kyoto sites. On the other hand, nice to be a bit off the beaten path too.

Beautiful apartment very close to the imperial palace. Great layout for families and an especially wonderful bathroom with a soaking tub overlooking a lovely garden. Very comfortable beds and great attention to details.

The only thing can be improved is the rubbish take out service. We livered there for 3 days. The rubbish bin became smelly from the second day, and we don't know where to throw the rubbish.

The most comfort house we have been living in Japan although it's not the most expensive one. The owner thinks all aspects for the travelers. 4 min from the underground. Anyway, this is the accommodation for all purposes. Highly recommended.

Everything works! Nothing that we didn't like.

We like the calm and quiet of the neighbourhood that the property is situated. Close by are convenience stores and a few eateries that open till late. The train station and historic Kyoto Imperial Palace are just around the corner as well. The place is spacious and very well provisioned. Our stay at the property was very memorable. Would definitely return again.

Great facilities, spacious for a family of five. Lots of extras like overseas power adapters, extras in the bathroom. Bath and shower were amazing. Highly recommend. Aircon was great in summer.

Everything is perfect. Everything that we can think of are provided for you to have a perfect stay. While in Kyoto we had long days walking around the city. A comfortable futon mattress with warmer on the tatami floor that we could sink into your sleep. Also a mini Japanese bath tub gave you the feeling of the private onsen which gave you a boost for the next day.

What a gem of an apartment. Everyone said wow when we first got in. Nice and handy for the Imperial Palace and gardens. Easy communication to downtown via subway.
