We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThe room’s are extremely, extremely small. Like zero room for luggage small. You don’t stay here for room size- you stay for the outstanding Onsen.
One of my favorite places to stay after a long flight for one of the best 24hr Onsen. Cafeteria buffet was outstanding, so many options. Fun activity the kids enjoyed was picking out their yukata (a nice looking robe). One of my family’s best hotels we stayed at while in Japan!

IcelandAll was perfect
A wonderful hotel and spa which framed a perfect start to our Tokyo visit. We checked in early morning and enjoyed immensely the onsens and resting rooms, booked a massage and had a lovely meal at the restaurant. Breakfast was great, had wonderful selection that allowed for tasting many local specialties. Our room was spacious and very clean and convenient and had a nice view of the river. We would always stay here again and we highly recommend Tokyo Toyosu Manyo Club. It allows for a stress free relaxation for elimination of jet lag. The foot bath on the rooftop at sunset was an extra special treat. Surrounding area and the house complex with restaurants and shops is nice and rather quiet.

CanadaNo laundry facilities and too far from metro Tokyo. Also, part of the rooftop foot bath area has a view of naked men walking around in their onsen at the building across the way.
The onsen, rooftop foot bath, yukatas, relaxation rooms and awesome breakfast buffet.

United StatesMaybe we came through the wrong entrance, but the entrance we arrived at was unmarked, so we were a little confused upon arrival. I was initially disappointed to hear that the private onsens were paid, but the public one was lovely enough and it quickly introduced us to onsen etiquette. We enjoyed the buffet dinner but highly suggest going right outside the hotel to an adorable market area (an entrance is actually connected to the hotel). The food was affordable and delicious! We got a tuna burger, some strawberry desserts, and an egg salad sandwich...all of it was delicious! Be aware that the market has a second floor also...it appeared to be mostly sushi and ramen, but we were full from eating from the shops on the first floor.
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here! It was admittedly difficult to reach, but we had fun learning the train system. (This was our very first hotel stay in Japan and we navigated to this hotel from Narita airport using Google Maps train suggestions). The hotel staff was phenomenal! They were so kind and patient and answered all of our questions about how to use an onsen. This was a really good first experience at an onsen. We went on to use four more public onsens after Many Club, but Manyo Club was the best one, in my opinion. The views of the city from the outdoor onsen were magical--especially at night. There were enough spaces to give a sense of privacy as the onsens were spread out and mostly the guests faced the windows instead of each other. There were also steam rooms, a sauna, and a cold bath making the spa experience extra relaxing. I loved that the front desk held our luggage upon early arrival so that we could use the onsen and the relaxation rooms before the 3:00PM check in. Wearing the yukutas throughout our stay also added an element of relaxation---even as we wore them to breakfast and the buffet dinner (we really enjoyed the buffet and considered it worth the price). The glowing rooftop footbath was also such a magical experience especially at night with the city lights unfolded before us. I found this place through Instagram and was not disappointed.

SingaporeNothing.
One of the best stays we’ve had in Tokyo. The onsen was absolutely incredible — spacious and relaxing. We only booked one night and immediately felt like it wasn’t enough. There were thoughtful amenities like coats provided when it got chilly, a rooftop foot soak with stunning views of Tokyo, massage services, and plenty of areas to unwind. The food was decent with a wide variety of choices available at an additional cost. While it’s a bit on the expensive side, the overall experience made it well worth it.

United StatesThis place is a little outside Tokyo proper. We ended up taking a cab because we were tired from our flight and not yet ready to take our first train on little sleep. It is close to the Toyosu fish market which is a huge plus, especially if you are looking to get up early to see it.
We loved this place. This was a great first place on our stay and a good intro into accommodations in Japan. We loved the onsen and again, this was a good intro to onsen etiquette and Japanese hotel stays. The complimentary bottomless water and green tea on each floor was a lovely way to decompress in the evening or after a trip to the onsen. The breakfast and dinner buffet were excellent, tasty and filling. The rooftop footbath was to die for, even in chilly weather. One thing we liked but didn't have time to take advantage of was the fact that this is also an onsen open to the public. We toyed with the idea of coming back on our last day in Tokyo just to hit the onsen one more time.

The buffet was delicious and very affordable. All the amenities and facilities were clean and orderly. The services advertised exceeded my expectations and made for a relaxing one night stay to help revitalize my parents and family. I would highly recommend this institution to any travelers going to Japan who would simply like to focus on resting and gaining back energy for the rest of their travels.
