Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

FranceBed and pillows were too hard. It’s the first Dormy Inn I have stayed in, where the TV was placed near outdoor onsen. Having to listen to non-stop TV shows without possibility to reduce the volume was not pleasant. Also, there is only one outdoor onsen, alternating between men and women on the evening/morning.
It’s conveniently located about 3 blocks from Koriyama station. There is an onsen, including lying baths and carbonated water. Like all other Dormy Inn hotels, they offer free evening noodles and after onsen refreshments.

Only few minutes walk from station. Very friendly and helpful staff, using Google Translate often for me, as I don't speak/read Japanese. Excellent breakfast. Very close to eateries, as the hotel does not offer evening meals.

United StatesHaving to enter a code (one that change every day) was a bit of a brother. As I did not have the code one day. The parking lot is in a separate area (but it was at least free!) but it made it troublesome to get there in the rain.
The hotel was a convenient location as it was near the station and a little down from the main part of Koriyama. The onsen bath was nice and had a lot of types of bath as well. The room was spacious and clean.

AustraliaMy wife and I were forced to stay in Koryama because heavy snow stopped transport to our proposed destination. We sayed here at the Dormy Inn and were pleasntly surprised. The Onsen bath was tremendous ! The room was fairly standard, clean and comfortable. Although not adjacent to the train station, it is not far although we had to navigate record snowfall which made it a bit more difficult. Easy walk into the city to find a restaurant for dinner and breakfast at the hotel was nice.

ThailandHeard noises from the sound of trains running during the night, for rooms on not very high floors But not to the point of affecting sleep.
The rooms are convenient and clean, and have a connection from the station to the hotel. There is an onsen room. And there's free ramen.

FranceKooriyama is really not a city you want to visit as a tourist. And if you do, this hotel is not the right place to start from. Aim as close to the train station as possible (Daiwa Roynet Hotel comes to mind, as it is also closer to the places you want to be at (restaurants and whatnot), as opposed to the places you have to use to get there). This city is nothing but parking lots and multiple-lane roads, it is really unpleasant to be there if you don't own a car. Look attentively at the google maps satellite view, and you'll see it. The hotel itself is ok, but you need to walk around 10 minutes from the station to get there, and it is not a nice walk (nor is it a terrible walk, it is a walk on a pedestrian bridge above multiple-lane roads and along train tracks and multi-storied parking buildings and, well, there are opaque roofs and walls that shield you from anything that may be either interesting, such as the sky or any kind of view, or annoying, such as the rain). The closest combini is, well, a 10 minutes walk away, right in front of the train station! I was really glad when I left this poorly designed city. If I were to go back there again, I would choose the Daiwa, or any hotel close to the train station. I assume they all have parking spaces, as this seems to be the norm there.
The staff was ok. Some can not speak english and some can. The room was clean. Good sound-proofing, a/c, and wifi. I like the Dormy Inn vibe, with their extensive manga libraries and odd-looking mascot.

PhilippinesThe smoking room should have been placed in a more secluded area. It was at the entrance of the relaxation room. I could smell the smoke every time I had to go to the washing machines.
It's like, our price may be higher than other Japanese-branded hotels, but just pay that price and we'll take care of you. They really did take care of me. I have stayed at many Dormy Inns but I'm not sure if the washing was complimentary. This time it was. You only have to use 100yen for the drying. Very very helpful. Of course the usual freebies are still there and great. Evening ramen they call half-serving but really more than enough for me. They still have the popsicles and yakult. Still love the sauna! I read a review about how far it was from the station. Not true at all. It's very accessible from the train station elevated walkway. There's elevator access at the building next to Dormy Inn and annexed to the walkway, Don't worry about your luggage.

MalaysiaWe book 2 rooms and the room size is too small and quite sense of “oppression". Cleanliness still have room to improve especially the air conditioner filter. Do not serve liquor and soft drink during the supper which my previous stay in Osaka dormy inn has provided. I have extended one night stay at the hotel front desk and pay the same amount of previous night stay. However hotel does not provide breakfast for my 2nd day stay which is quite embarrassing while we are being stopped from entering the restaurant and further asking for 3600 yen for breakfast.
The hotel restaurant serves soup Ramen as supper for hotel guest. Location slightly far from Koriyama station but it is still in acceptable distance.
