How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Like most Japanese hotels there was no walk-in shower - the shower was over a very deep bath. Very limited eating in options. Reception is on the second floor and there is no doorman service at the entry level.

Verified reviewLarge, comfortable rooms - this was probably the largest hotel room of our entire stay in Japan - with views from upper floors. The hotel is very well located to explore Osaka and for excursions to nearby cities (Nara, Himeji, etc.): it is directly connected to Osaka Station, JR lines and the metro by underground passage, convenient on rainy days.
The interior design of the hotel is a bit outdated (think Pretty Woman) and uses too much carpet.

The breakfast buffet was underwhelming. I would not recommend adding it to your stay at the hotel.

Verified reviewThe area in which the hotel is located is well lit, making it a lot easier to walk around at night at feel safe while doing so. The hotel is also located near Family Mart (convenient store), an ideal spot for quick convenient store meals and errand runs. The staff were friendly and helpful for asking directions. The rooms were spacious enough to lay two luggage’s out between the bed and the wall.
The kettles in both rooms had a bit of lime scale in it.

Verified reviewThe staff were very friendly. Very close to trains and metro. Room was a decent size, clean and comfortable. Good selection of cosmetics in bathroom. Shower was lovely.
No gym, pool etc.. for the price. No water in the room and only an ice make in the hallway.

Verified reviewI loved the location, size of the rooms and how clean everything was. There were restaurants and subway entrances all around which made it super convenient as travellers. The staff were also very accomodating. We had a full daytrip planned with an overnight stay in Hiroshima. They were able to hold our suitcases until we returned back to the hotel to continue our trip in Osaka.

The breakfast was one of the most sorry looking breakfast we have ever encountered. . They even managed to make bacon look unappetizing and the scrambled eggs looked like they were made a week ago and microwaved over and over again to make it out to the breakfast buffet until someone ate it. The breakfast is fairly cheap compared to other hotels but too pricey concidering what you get. My brothers quote regarding the breakfast was "this is the first time in Japan that I am afraid that I will be food poisoned."

Quite complicated getting from the train station to the hotel and further than expected. Looks to be an upscale hotel from appearances but the room for a family of three was not that well organised with an unnecessary small table cluttering up the limited space.

Verified reviewThere are almost everything u need. The bed is comfy. I love that there is ice making machine guests can use out of charge. The location is abt 8 mins walk from Osaka sta. and 5 mins walk from Metro Nishi-Umeda Sta.
There is no free drinking water.
