The only area of improvement could be a stronger washer / dryer. The drying time on the machine is much longer than expected.

Excellent location, 5 min walk from bus/train station or old town. Beautiful traditional Japanese style home to stay. Very comfortable beds and sleeping space. We were super happy with our time there.

The staircase is a bit steep to bring our luggages up to the rooms. So have to leave our luggages downstairs.

The house is the traditional japanese house, clean and spacious enough for us five adults. Location is good, walking distance from station, walking distance to old town and the morning market. Lots of restaurants and shops nearby.

We got a bit spoiled at other places where we could log on to Netflix, that could be an extra.

Great location, only 5 min walk to the old town and close to nice restaurants. The house itself was also very comfortable, very nice bedrooms upstairs and great if you have small kids like us, so they have their own room, but with the sliding doors you are still connected. Also the shower was really great and comfortable, happy that it was not cold at all!

Good location on walking distance from the station (10 mins). Great and fast communication with the owner. Easy walking to most sightseeing locations (approx. 10 mins). Sufficient space for a family of 5, especially compared to the hotel rooms in Japan which generally are quite small.

Spacious house with everything you could need close to the old part of town. We walked from the train station and everywhere we went. Enjoyed the photos of local sites and local craft items in the house especially after being out in the town and seeing that they reflect the local area.

The heater downstairs does not keep the cold out. While it is very comfy upstairs, the downstairs area was very cold in the morning hours.

At night, the interior house was a little too dark and dim for our liking. One of my travel companions also mentioned that apart from the lighting, the Do not open signs for some doors were a little on the scary side too- especially because it's more of a traditional house. Perhaps the curtains upstairs could be changed too- as they are blackout curtains, they make the entire place very dark. There were many rules to follow and we were afraid of being penalised so we tried to follow as closely to them as possible. Additionally, the recycling can be a little confusing, but hopefully we got it right! We did spend a bit of time looking for the house, but once we found it, all was well- if you're staying here, remember that the exterior is grey and not yellow~

We liked that the room was exact to the pictures and that the host communicated very clearly in advance, he also shared a bunch of information pertaining to the check in etc. Oh man, we loved the tub!! We were able to experience the onsen experience and it was such a treat after a long day. We're also very thankful to the host for the washing machine and all the racks as it helped us significantly. It does get quite cold in the winter but once the heater is on, all is well. I'd say that it's moderately close to a combini and a decent walk to the train station, but! It is very very very close to the major old streets where all the shops are at! We enjoyed the location very much. The beds were very comfortable, and the entire place was very very clean! We had a good stay overall and was thankful that it wasn't too far

The futon mattresses were a bit hard for us. A lovely big rug and some cushions would have made it cosier.

The house was in a good location. Easy walking distance from the station and to the old part of town. There were some lovely little restaurants around the corner. There was plenty of space for the 4 of us. The kitchen and bathroom worked well.
