How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Plan to go for a walk for a few days but the inn only allow me to leave 1 luggage despite the stay is for a couple
10 mins walk to the train station, close to lots of restaurants & convenient shops

For anyone who couldn't speak japanese, it would be a little difficult to communicate with the front desk receptionist as most of them do not speak english. Also the front desk isn't available after 7pm, so any help or inquiries should be addressed before that. Plus the room that I am staying at is very small, not even big enough to open your luggage. But, it is a small tradeoff for the reasonable rate and location of the hotel.
A reasonable rate for a hotel that is very close to the train station and also main tourist spots. Room is clean and quiet. I would thoroughly recommend any solo traveler to stay at this hotel.

Hours at the front desk (9-6) are very tight. I needed to borrow an iron, and getting it was hard to balance with work...
Location is great. Quiet area in Sakuragicho with immediate access to the wild and crazy life if you want it. Easy walk, simple access. Staff is good, no issues.

unfortunately I accidentally booked a smoking room so I had to leave my window open the entire time which was very cold. if I turn the heater on it made the smell worse
very good location! 5 minute walk to the train station and 1 stop away from Yokohama station. many convenience stores, shopping and restaurants around. No shortage of cafes or things to do. cheap laundry on site too!

For the price... not a lot. Lack of staff who speaks english!
Excellent location, walking distance (a few minutes) to the subway and train station. Close to cinema, shopping centers, sights etc. Close to Yokohama center - you can walk there on abut 2,5 km. Rooms has got basic facilities: mini kitchen: Fridge, microwave and kettle, air-con, TV, WiFi. Downstairs washing facilities + dryer.

The doubleroom was very small, and the bed, though enough for two people, was also quite narrow. There is no cleaning service included and you have to throw out the trash by yourself. This is alright for short stays, but for longer ones it is a little inconvenient.
The location was fantastic- right in the heart of Yokohama and a few minutes walk away from one of the main stations. It was clean, and a good value for money. There was also a coin laundry room available.

Rooms, bathrooms and beds were small, a.little cramped for 2 persons per room.

The size of the room was actually a little shock at first. Very tiny compare to European standards. But once you settle in, it is fine, when you basically only sleep there. Feather pillows - I am allergic to feathers! No instructions in english for the air con. Some instructions for the washing machine downstairs, but none for the dryer.
No breakfast at the hotel. But there are plenty of places/restaurants in the neighborhood to chose from. Or you can have your own breakfast in the room. Just buy what you need and prepare you brekkie yourself. There is a fridge and micro in the room.

Misleading advertising. Property can only store 1 suitcase and 1 carry on. Didn’t suit our luggage storage needs so we cancelled our return accommodation and found another place that accommodated luggage storage for 2 people (2 suitcases).
Thought property could store luggage for 2 people staying per room.

A bit further from a train station than I like when dragging a suiltcase.... but not too bad.... I need to learn to follow the handheld phone gps more competently . :)
The facility and the room were very nice. One of the nicest small hotels I ve stayed at in Japan

I arrived late at night, about 10:30pm. After hours check-in was easy. Everything was explained well to me when I arrived. The room had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. I really love the bathtub! The laundry was easy to use at any time day or night. I felt welcomed and I enjoyed staying here. It's close to shops and transport, and is in a lovely area that was a pleasure to walk about to explore.
