Our hosts put an incredible amount of effort into preparing a lovingly arranged and truly delicious, personalized breakfast. The atmosphere was filled with warmth and kindness. We felt extremely comfortable and truly enjoyed our stay. Their dog was absolutely adorable and added to the charm of our visit. We are sincerely grateful for such a thoughtful and heartwarming experience.

The hosts are an extremely kind and helpful couple who will make sure that you feel very welcome and that your stay is comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, and I was very grateful for them picking me up from a local train station in the late evening. The room and house was a traditional-style Japanese home with beautiful decor, yet plenty of modern amenities. Bonus was the cute shiba dog and jazz piano :) Thanks for the stay.

The weather there was a bit too cold for our liking and if not for the very warm pyjamas the hosts provided us on our request we would have suffered from hyperthermia!! The oil heater wasn't something we liked not least because it gave off an awful smell but the aircon heater was good and made it possible for us to cope with the cold.

Komay-san, an accomplished jazz musician, the host was incredibly hospitable and friendly and went out of his way to make us feel comfortable and welcome. His wife Yuki was only too happy to take us sightseeing and to fetch us back from where we were having lunch. Yuki made us delicious breakfast on the 2 days we stayed at their B&B whilst Komay-san served the food. Their unassuming and friendly demeanor made our stay that much better.

Maybe the toilets are narrow for tall people

It’s an old fashion style Japanese house very warm and lots of facilities. The beds were especially comfy. The host is very nice. He did breakfast for us too and was delicious. Overall was a very enjoyable

    A genuine delight!

This country home is beautifully Japanese in its design and architecture. The staircase to the room is very narrow and steep and you will have trouble getting a large suitcase with four wheels up and down. You will also need slippers to go from the upstairs room to the shower - which is no trouble at all, but don't wear your boots, 'cause it's too hard.

Staying here was absolutely wonderful. These folks are incredibly generous, warm, interesting people who are fun to be around and who are happy to share their authentic Japanese country home with others. Yuki and KoMay believe in organic, locally produced food and Yuki is an excellent cook. 'Breakfast' turned out to be a genuinely superb three course meal with home made hot soup, a gorgeous plate of all sorts of delicious treats including tempura herbs (from the garden), home made bread and little bean sweet treats. KoMay is working on his organic garden and Yuki turns it into a feast! KoMay is a professional jazz pianist. He is quite brilliant at improvisation and is happy to entertain with music as well as conversation. We felt incredibly privileged to stay with such genuine and interesting people.

An excellent Japanese stay, with charming hosts

The property is away from town and very quiet and peaceful, allowing for a good night's rest. The included breakfast was home cooked and piping hot - vegetable soup, potato omelette, salad, fresh fruit, yoghurt, and home baked bread, butter and jam, coffee or tea. There is hot water, coffee, tea, and biscuity snacks available downstairs 24/7. There are just 2 rooms, both upstairs, in traditional Japanese style - tatami and futon. The hosts are both charming, and extremely helpful, picking up from the nearest station and helping me changing my train ticket. I will stay there again if I come back to Yoshino.
