mainly that a roommate came back to the room pretty late like 1:00am and woke me up because of the noises he/she made. The noises continued for 20 mins. Then the person starts to snore immediately after he/she fell into sleep, and I could no longer sleep for the snoring. I paid a relatively higher price (like 9000 yen) since I booked the place very close to my trip date. That disappointed me more about not being able to sleep well.

The staff were all very friendly. After hearing that there's some snoring noise in my room, they immediately helped me to change to another room. The bar is good. There're a lot of people hanging out there. Chill Vibe. Overall, it's very nice for social people. The wifi was good and the study room was amazing. I was able to do some work over there and met some cool new friends.

I paid extra for a larger space in a mixed dorm... The pictures were a bit misleading. I did have more privacy space, but it was much smaller than it looked. Still decent for the price, I suppose, just not what I had expected.

Just be wary that the check-in time is from 6-10pm. Towels are available for a small cost and make sure to bring your own toothbrush. You also have to make your own bed and strip it in the morning.

The bed space was quite large and comfortable and the shared space had a nice view. The staff were friendly and accomodating, and a welcome drink is offered. You can also leave your suitcase/bags before and after check-out. The hostel is in a convenient walkable distance from Atami station. For a quick one night stay, there's nothing to complain about. Fun fact: A manga artist used to live in this building, so it was cool seeing his original art.

Kind of pricey for a straight up hostel, was extremely hot in my area, and the owner was like aggressively social wanting everyone to be involved, which is great if that’s your style but not every traveler is there to talk

The staff and owner are amazing. Although it is run minimally, you can go into the bar and meet them and get some tasty food while you're at it. Good location. Comfy private bed spaces. Lots of room.

6pm check in is too late, plus you have to make your own bed. After a full day of traveling this was brutal, I don't really understand why I should pay to make my own bed. We had a male staff member come into the female dorm a couple of times without knocking (during the day). I'm sure he had a reason but I think staff should knock/announce themselves before entering a female dorm.

Dorm beds were nice and big, with their own lamps and outlets. There was plenty of space in the room and a nice window so it didn't feel cramped at all. Bathrooms were decently clean throughout our stay. Definitely a nice chill dorm experience. We didn't check out the bar but it looked nice.

It's very unique to have a bar right under the hostel, perfect for those who want to grab a quick drink during the night The location is convenient since it's only a 5 minute walk from Atami Station to the hostel The staff in the bar is very friendly, they're willing to share travelling information in terms of reccommended restaurants and spots

Both the hostel and the bar were so cozy and welcoming. The location is perfect. You can stay in shared lounge before and after checking.

Check-in hour is quite late, at 18:00.

Good location near the central bus station. They offer a welcome drink in their bar. Comfortable bed with enough space for your belongings. I would recommend staying in this hostel.

Wonderful staff. Like a family. Location is quite good, if you don’t mind walking a couple of extra minutes, but it only adds to the uniqueness of the place.

Generally fine but I was unable to use any of the shared sinks in the morning because of a group of people spending over an hour putting on makeup... seems ridiculous but maybe time limits? Also the 6pm check-in time is perhaps the latest I've ever experienced in any hostel around the world.

Location is close to the train station. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The downstairs bar was a nice space and I enjoyed a few beers and food chatting to other guests before seeing the fireworks. Otherwise it's a basic backpacker hostel.

Even though they allow checkin start at 6 pm. They will let you get into the building before that so early arrival wasn’t a problem.

If I’m going to be making the bed then please let me check in earlier than 6pm. It’s really inconvenient after a long day of travel. Also, having to strip the bed when you leave makes it tough to not disturb roommates when you have an early train. If this place was cheaper than other hostels I might understand but it’s not. The kitchen is also quite small and grimy.

Close to the train station, clean sheets, free high quality earplugs, and nice workspace.

Check in not until 6pm. They said I could wait in room on the third floor but it was closed. I couldn’t find the property and called the phone number for help but there was no answer.
